(LONDON) -- John Travolta's latest project isn't getting great reviews. The Pulp Fiction star, who's also a commercially-rated pilot, appears in a new safety video for Qantas Airlines that the staff doesn't exactly love, reports Britain's Daily Mail.
Travolta, who's flown several flights for the air carrier, opens the video decked out in a Qantas uniform while saying, "This is your captain speaking. Well, maybe not today. But I can guarantee that the guys on the flight deck and the great team care just as much about aircraft safety as I do. I've been flying over 40 years as a pilot and I can tell you, there's no-one I'd rather have at the controls than a Qantas pilot."
Employees have taken to posting anonymous messages online to voice their displeasure, calling the video "corny" and "tacky," reports Australia's Daily Telegraph. Another post took offense at Travolta referring to flight attendants as "the team," adding, "We feel it's demeaning to be called 'the team.' It makes us feel like we work at McDonald's." Another person wrote, "The whole thing seems to make the safety message seem trite."
Despite the negative feedback, a spokesman for Qantas said most of the comments about the video have been positive.
