(CHICAGO) -- Lonnie Rashied Lynn, Jr. -- better known as Grammy Award-winning hip-hop artist and actor Common -- will join President Obama in Chicago on Saturday for his get out the vote rally. Common is a favorite son there -- born on the South Side and a member since he was eight years old of the Trinity United Church of Christ, once led by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
The artist, whose debut album was titled Can I Borrow a Dollar?, will also join the president and Vice President Biden at Cleveland State University on Sunday for a rally there.
Common was featured in will.i.am’s famous "Yes We Can" video and performed at President Obama’s “Home States” inaugural ball.
