(ATOKA COUNTY, Okla.) -- Reba and Blake Shelton were both affected by the recent tornado disaster in Atoka County, Oklahoma. Reba grew up about 30 miles from the site of the worst damage, and Blake still lives in Tishomingo, which is about 50 miles from Atoka. That's why they've teamed up for a tornado relief concert set for May 26 at the Choctaw Event Center in Durant, Oklahoma.
Blake says, "Reba and I have a lot of love for this state and we wanted to do what we can to help. This place is my home and those people are family to us." Reba adds, "We wanted to do something and let the people of Oklahoma know that we love them, and we're praying for them during this difficult tragedy."
Tickets for the relief concert go on sale May 6 at 10 a.m. CT. Fans can purchase by phone at 1-800-585-3737 or online at ChoctawCasinos.com. All proceeds from the concert will go to the Tushka Disaster Relief Fund. Fans can also text OKGIVE to 27722 to make a one-time donation of $10.
