All proceeds from the show, including money from ticket sales and merchandise, will go to the Bama Works Sandy Relief Fund, an offshoot of the DMB's own charitable organization.  The fund has been set up at the Community Foundation of New Jersey to support the ongoing relief and recovery efforts in the wake of the storm.

Lady Gaga Pledges $1 Million to Hurricane Sandy Relief

James Devaney/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- When Hurricane Sandy hit the New York/New Jersey area, Native New Yorker Lady Gaga wrote on Twitter about how upset she was that she couldn't be with her friends and family to help them through this difficult time due to her touring commitments.  Now, she's come through with some big-time help: a $1 million donation to the Red Cross.

In a message on her LittleMonsters.com social networking site directed to "New York and the American Red Cross," Lady Gaga writes: "Today I pledge 1 million dollars to New York & The American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy Relief. If it wasn't for NYC: the Lower Eastside, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn, I would not be the woman or artist that I am today."

Gaga continues, "New York is relentless ambition, a drive to succeed, a place where there is a natural pursuit of diversity through compassion" and finishes by asking New York and the Red Cross to accept her gift on behalf of her parents and her younger sister."

"With our deepest gratitude, New York, for raising us," writes Gaga. "Thank you for helping me build my spirit. I will now help you rebuild yours."

Gwen Stefani Donates A Million Dollars to Japan Disaster Relief

PRNewsFoto/L'Oreal Paris(NEW YORK) -- Gwen Stefani is one star who puts her money where her mouth is -- she's donated a million dollars to Save the Children's "Japan Earthquake-Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund" to help relief efforts in that country.

In a statement, Gwen said, "I've been inspired by Japan for many years and have a true love, appreciation and respect for the Japanese people and their culture. The disaster in Japan is beyond heartbreaking and I want to do anything I can to help. I would never be able to make a gesture like this without the love and support of all the fans over all these years.”

But Gwen didn't stop there.  She's also designed a limited-edition T-shirt which will be sold through her band's website, NoDoubt.com.  One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit relief efforts.  The T-shirt is part of Gwen's Harajuku Lovers line, which was inspired by the vibrant youth culture and fashion found in the Tokyo district known as Harajuku.  In addition, plans are being made for a charity auction and fundraising event.
