Parents of Passenger Sue Jackass Star Ryan Dunn's Estate

J. Strauss/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- The parents of Zachary Hartwell, the passenger who died along with Jackass star Ryan Dunn in a 2011 high-speed car crash in Pennsylvania, are suing Dunn's estate and the bar where Dunn had been drinking before the crash, according to  They allege that Dunn was very drunk when he wrecked his Porsche and that he is responsible for their son's death.

Police found Dunn's 2007 Porsche 911 off the road in the woods and fully engulfed in flames. Dunn, who was driving, and Hartwell died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.

The Hartwells say in their lawsuit that Barnaby's West Chester, the bar that Dunn was at prior to the wreck, was negligent because they served Dunn even though he was obviously very intoxicated. The Hartwells say that Dunn was reckless and negligent for driving while drunk and at speeds in excess of 130 mph.

The Hartwells are asking for unspecified damages, and they want Dunn’s estate to cover Zach’s funeral costs and other costs related to his death. The Hartwells also want both parties to pay for the wages Zach would have earned during his lifetime.

Dunn appeared in the Jackass movies, and also appeared on MTV's Homewrecker and Viva La Bam, as well as on the Spike TV show Bam's World Domination.

Johnny Knoxville On Ryan Dunn: 'I Lost My Brother'

J. Strauss/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Over the weekend, Johnny Knoxville wrote a blog entry dedicated to his late Jackass co-star Ryan Dunn, who died in a car crash last week.

Knoxville said he wrote the entry because it was too difficult for him to properly express his feelings on Dunn at his memorial service.

Knoxville praises Dunn as a loving and loyal man with a contagious spirit.  His post ends by stating, "I'm just very sad because I lost my brother and my world got about 134-percent less funny.  I don't know what else to say right now, so I will close with I love you, Ryan.  I have a lot of emotions swirling, but I want you to know I love you so very much."

Dunn and passenger Zachary Hartwell died in the car crash in Pennsylvania last Monday morning.  Police say Dunn's blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

Ryan Dunn's Blood Alcohol Level Well Over Limit

J. Strauss/FilmMagic(WEST GOSHEN, Pa.) -- Jackass co-star Ryan Dunn's blood alcohol level was well over the legal limit, according to West Goshen, Pa., police who released the results of a toxicology test Wednesday.

According to a press release obtained by ABC News from the West Goshen Police Department, the county coroner determined that Dunn had a blood alcohol concentration of .196 -- more than twice the legal limit in Pennsylvania -- at the time of his death in a fiery car crash.

In 2003, the state lowered the limit from .10 to .08 and created three levels of DUI. The highest level offender is considered to have a blood alcohol level of .16 and higher.

The coroner did not detect any "drugs of abuse," the release said.

Both Dunn, 34, and his passenger, Zachary Hartwell, 30, died in the accident in the early morning hours of June 19 when his 2007 Porsche crashed in West Goshen.

Dunn's car was found in a wooded area off the road engulfed in flames.

The initial police investigation indicated that Dunn was traveling at a speed between 132 and 140 at the time of his crash. Police also say Dunn possessed a valid driver's license.

Dunn's Porsche jumped a guardrail, flew through 40 yards of trees and burst into flames, killing both Dunn and Hartwell instantly.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Dunn had received at least 23 driving citations, including 10 for speeding and careless driving, in the 13 years before his fatal car accident. According to records obtained by the Inquirer, Dunn was arrested for DUI in 2005. Charges were dropped after he completed a probationary program. His license was also suspended for more than a year.

Dunn had posted a photo online just hours before the crash that showed him and two friends drinking at a local bar, Barnaby's, in West Chester. Friends said he had six drinks before getting in his car.
