Dick Van Dyke to Receive SAG Lifetime Achievement Award

Steve Granitz/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Congrats are in order for Dick Van Dyke.  The veteran actor and comic will receive SAG-AFTRA’s highest honor, the SAG Life Achievement Award for career achievement and humanitarian accomplishment.

“Dick is the consummate entertainer -- an enormously talented performer whose work has crossed nearly every major category of entertainment," says SAG-AFTRA Co-President Ken Howard in a statement. "From his career-changing Broadway turn in Bye Bye Birdie and his deadpan humor in the Emmy-winning Dick Van Dyke Show, to his unforgettable performance as Bert in Mary Poppins, he sets a high bar for actors."

"Stage, big screen, small screen, literally everywhere he has worked he has inspired millions of fans and has had a tremendously positive impact on the industry and the world. He is so deserving of this honor and I congratulate him,” the statement continues.

Van Dyke, who's 86, will receive his award during the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Jan. 27, 2013.

Jennifer Aniston to Appear on 'Days of Our Lives?'

James Devaney/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Jennifer Aniston's camp has shot down a report from the UK's Daily Mail that said she will be starring as a wedding planner in a one-off episode alongside her dad on Days of Our Lives.

The paper reported Aniston was looking to give a ratings boost to the soap in which her dad John Aniston has played baddie Victor Kiriakis for 24 years. The paper even reported the Horrible Bosses star -- who was at one point fetching $1 million per Friends episode -- was willing to take the Screen Actors Guild day rate of $645 for her efforts.

Aniston’s reps denied the story to E!
