Scarlett Johansson, Eva Longoria Urge Women to Vote for Obama

ABC/Donna Svennevik(NEW YORK) -- Scarlett Johansson, Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington want to talk to you about women and Mitt Romney.

In a new political ad by Political Action, the three actresses speak about Romney’s stance on women’s health issues, including Planned Parenthood funding and abortion. They also encourage women to vote for Obama.

“If you think that this election won’t affect you and your life, think again,” Johansson says in the video.

Longoria and Johansson have been active in Obama’s campaign. Desperate Housewives star Longoria is co-chairwoman of the president’s re-election campaign and both women made speeches at the Democratic National Convention last month.

Shortly after the ad was uploaded to YouTube Monday, Romney’s team released an ad about women’s health issues as well.

“You know, those ads say Mitt Romney would ban all abortions and contraception seemed a bit extreme, so I looked into it,” a woman identified as Sarah Minto says in the video. "It turns out Romney doesn’t oppose contraception at all. In fact, he thinks abortion should be an option in cases of rape, incest or to save a mother’s life.”

Scarlett Johansson Hates Being Called "Sexiest Woman Alive"

Kevin Mazur/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Scarlett Johansson is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood and even Esquire named the starlet the "sexiest woman alive" in 2006. Still, the "Avengers" star recently revealed she doesn't like that type of attention.

In an interview with Grazia Italia, the 27-year-old laughed off the idea that she is a role model to women. "There are so many wonderful women out there," she said. "I don't like being labeled as 'the sexiest woman alive.' As an actress I prefer to maintain the anonymity."

In fact, Johansson, who is currently filming a movie called Don Jon's Addiction, which centers on a man with a porn addiction, prefers to focus on her craft.

"There is never a day that goes by that I do not feel like the luckiest person in the world to have a job that I love," she recently told ABC News Radio. "I'm constantly surprised that I have not yet been found out."

'Avengers' Stars Talk Costumes, Filming in Extreme Heat

Eric McCandless/ABC(NEW YORK) -- When it comes to playing a superhero, the clothes really make the man, and the stars of The Avengers had to wear some of the most elaborate costumes ever made.

“It’s like a Halloween party. It’s really a good time,” said actor Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye.

The Avengers brings together an ensemble cast to play Marvel Comics superheroes who join forces to save the world from total destruction. The team of Avengers includes Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr.; Captain America, played by Chris Evans; Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth; and the Incredible Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo.

The four mighty heroes are recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D., a defense intelligence organization. Samuel L. Jackson plays Nick Fury, the director of the service, and by his side are Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson; Hawkeye, played by Renner; and Maria Hill, played by Cobie Smulders.

Together, they take on supervillain Loki, Thor’s adoptive brother and archenemy, played by Tom Hiddleston. The Avengers will be in theaters nationwide on May 4.

In an interview with Nightline, the cast, sans Downey Jr., was laughing and joking around with each other, and it was clear they enjoy working together. They talked about putting themselves -- and their costumes -- through the wringer with action-packed stunts in the oppressive heat of the desert in Albuquerque, N.M., where The Avengers was filmed.

“None of [the costumes] were comfortable, especially in the middle of the desert,” Hemsworth told ABC’s Chris Connelly.

Johansson said her Black Widow costume was like a “wetsuit” and the heat became so bad, she hallucinated while filming a fight scene on a makeshift roof.

“It was so hot, I would wring out my socks at the end of the day,” she said.

The demands of her stunts, she said, “shredded” her costumes, which had to be replaced every few days.

“They’re like tires,” she said. “You would just go through sets of them. Every time you get a new costume, you just feel real nice and then three days later, it’s like the discount Widow.”

Hemsworth’s Thor costume included “a little air-conditioning unit” underneath to help him stay cool in the desert sun.

“We all had that option,” Hemsworth said. “It was like this T-shirt you’d wear with like a hose that you’d plug in and there was cool water.”

“There’s a mini bar in there,” Johansson joked.

But Johansson said she thought Hiddleston had the most uncomfortable costume out of the group. In the original Marvel Comics, the character Loki resembles the devil with body armor and massive horns protruding off a head piece. Hiddleston said the whole costume was “30 pounds of leather and metal,” but the horned head piece alone was around 8 pounds.

“On one level, it’s incredible because it does so much of the work for me,” Hiddleston said. “When you’re wearing 30 pounds of leather, then you get very hot, and then all the heat that would normally escape through your head is just kind of encased inside this steel balaclava and your brain slowly turns to scrambled eggs … so it has its challenges.”

Scarlett Johansson Says Divorce from Ryan Reynolds Was 'Horrible'

Kevin Mazur/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Scarlett Johansson hasn't fully recovered from her divorce from Ryan Reynolds, which was finalized last year.

In an interview with Vogue magazine, The Avengers actress describes the split as "comically amicable," but also "horrible" and "devastating."

She says, “I don’t feel on the other side of it completely, but it gets better....More than anything, it’s just that not having your buddy around all the time is weird.  There’s no rule book.  I think it’s just time.”

Johansson confirms that for a few months last year she was "seeing" Sean Penn, calling him a "remarkable person" with whom she remains friends.

Also in the interview, Johansson discusses how a hacker leaked nude photos of her, intended for Reynolds, onto the Internet last year.  She says that after the pictures were made public, she would go out for dinner and wonder whether the other patrons had seen the snapshots.  She says she felt "paranoid" about the situation.

"Avengers" Assemble at Los Angeles Premiere

ROBYN BECK/AFP/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- The cast of the star-studded superhero flick The Avengers gathered Wednesday evening in Los Angeles for the movie's world premiere.

After making a flashy entrance in a car that would make his onscreen Iron Man alter-ego Tony Stark proud, a purple-suited Robert Downey Jr. greeted enthusiastic fans who turned out in droves to cheer him and fellow Avengers Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo.

Johansson said her character Black Widow's skin-tight outfit may have been great to look at, but it presented unique challenges of its own.

"The first time I tried it on, and took a high kick, the entire seam split," she laughed.  "I was like, 'We need to reinforce these seams.'  There's a lot of bending and sliding and barrel rolling and all that stuff, so the suit's gotta be tough."

Also on hand was writer/director Joss Whedon, Iron Man and Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau, and celebrity fanboys and fangirls like The Talk host and Archer co-star Aisha Tyler.

"This is huge," Tyler told ABC News Radio.  "The nerd in me just peed herself...The 'blerd' in me, the black nerd, is going bananas."

Disney star Roshon Fegan, who's currently on Dancing with the Stars, also attended the event with DWTS pro dancer Chelsie Hightower.

The Avengers opens nationwide on May 4.

Scarlett Johansson on Nude Pics: It's Not Like I Was Doing Porn

Kevin Mazur/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- The things that come out of your mouth, ScarJo.

Scarlett Johansson sat down with Vanity Fair to discuss her recent nude photo hacking scandal and her ability to look great naked.

“I know my best angles,” she said. “They were sent to my husband,” she said, referring to her now ex-husband Ryan Reynolds. “There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not like I was shooting a porno....Although there’s nothing wrong with that either.”

But the really weird thing that the interview unearthed was Johansson’s revelation about how she and Woody Allen, who cast her in Match Point, Scoop, and Vicky Cristina Barcelona, became close: hypochondria and a penchant for Purell.

“He shakes a lot of hands,” Johansson said. “I’ll squirt some [Purell] in my hand and then squirt in his.”

“The only reason why Woody and I are still friends is because I’ve diagnosed all kinds of his skin tags, lesions, ailments,” she added. “I’ve prescribed things for Woody that he’s then asked his doctor to prescribe for him.”

After years of this, apparently Allen’s ready for another actress/nurse friend.

“I have every intention of working with her again, but I just didn’t think it was a great idea for either one of us to work together too intensely, picture after picture,” he told Vanity Fair. “I didn’t want her to be burdened by, ‘Oh, she’s in all the Woody Allen pictures, it’s so predictable,’ and she’s my new muse, and all that silliness.”

Johansson doesn’t see what the big deal is.

“I don’t think anything’s played out,” she said. “I’m waiting for him to write my Citizen Kane.”

In the meantime, she’s shooting Under the Skin, in which she plays an alien sex predator who harvests human body parts.

Celebrity Hack Suspect Allegedly Stalked Woman for 12 Years

Kevin Mazur/WireImage/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- The man accused of hacking the email accounts of Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis and Christina Aguilera is also reportedly suspected of stalking another woman—apparently not a celebrity—for 12 years.

An unsealed search warrant in the case against Christopher Chaney, 35, said a Connecticut woman told police that the suspect had been chatting with her online since she was 13 years old.

Chaney has admitted to hacking into the email accounts of A-list celebrities including Kunis and Johansson, describing it as a fascination with celebrities turned into an addiction that snowballed out of control.

“It started as curiosity and it turned into just being addicted to seeing behind-the-scenes of what was going on with these people you see on the big screen every day,” Chaney told CBS News’ Jacksonville affiliate WTEV in an exclusive interview. “I was almost relieved months ago when they came and took the computer and told me what was going on because I didn’t know how to stop doing it myself.”

Chaney was arrested and charged in early October with 26 counts of identity theft, unauthorized access and unauthorized damage to a protected computer. His arrest came after a year-long FBI investigation named “Operation Hackerazzi.”

Chaney allegedly hacked into Yahoo, Apple and Google email accounts of at least 50 celebrities, obtaining personal information and photos that he leaked to other Internet sites.

A calm and apologetic Chaney told WTEV that he plans on pleading guilty. He added that he never intended to sell images or use information for blackmail, but when he realized what he could do with his computer skills, he couldn’t resist.

Scarlett Johansson Has Dinner Date with Rolling Stone Guitarist

Kevin Mazur/WireImage(RICHMOND, UK) -- Actress Scarlett Johansson is doing something for charity she probably wouldn't normally consider -- go on a date with someone 38 years older than she is.

The 26-year-old actress is going on a dinner date with 64-year-old Rolling Stone guitarist Ronnie Wood.

The aging rocker dished out about $20,500 for the special date at a celebrity auction last week in Richmond, England, The Evening Standard reports.  The Too Many Women gala was organized to benefit the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.

Wood won't have Johansson all to himself, though -- UK businessman Sir David Tang matched his bid and will share the dinner, which was dubbed "Lust in Translation."

Wood helped raise even more money for the charity by auctioning off a personal guitar lesson, which brought in more than $31,000.

Other celebrity items up for bid at the auction included a cooking lesson from Gwyneth Paltrow, a tennis lesson from Boris Becker and a cameo in director Guy Ritchie's upcoming movie.

Oxfam Ambassador Scarlett Johansson Visits Drought-Stricken Africa

Kevin Mazur/WireImage(BOSTON) -- Oxfam Ambassador and Actress Scarlett Johansson visited Africa this week to get a first-hand account of Oxfam's life-saving work in the drought-impacted areas of Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia where 13 million people are at risk.

Johansson, an Oxfam Ambassador since 2004, visited the Dadaab refugee camp, where tens of thousands of Somali refugees arrived.

"The scale of poverty in Dadaab is overwhelming," said Johansson. "I met countless women like Hawa, a local community leader, who lamented the seemingly endless struggle of the Somali people, as refugees of war and starvation and now left to suffer everyday life with the very barest of essentials."

Johansson also visited the Turkana region of northern Kenya during her trip.

Scarlett Johansson Taps FBI Over Nude Photos Leak

Kevin Mazur/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Scarlett Johansson appears to be the latest victim of a cell phone hacker ring thought to be responsible for stealing nude photos and videos from at least 50 female celebrities.

And according to website TMZ, Johansson has asked the FBI to investigate how nude photos, which she appears to have taken of herself, were leaked on a website Wednesday.

Johansson’s reps didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Nor did the FBI.

The 26-year-old actress is not alone, however. Other celebrities reportedly hacked include Jessica Alba, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Christina Aguilera, Vanessa Hudgens, Ali Larter, and Miley Cyrus.

TMZ reported earlier this year that the FBI was closing in on the ring believed to have broken into the accounts of stars’ cell phones and other computerized devices to obtain the compromising photos and videos.
