Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne Escape House Fire

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic(BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.) -- Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne had a scare Thursday morning when they discovered the living room in their Beverly Hills, Calif., home was on fire.  The couple had accidentally left a candle burning overnight.

No one was seriously injured, and Sharon took time on her CBS show, The Talk, on Thursday to explain what had happened.

Upon hearing a sound that seemed like metal hitting the tile floor, Sharon, who was in her bedroom, said she assumed the housekeeper had dropped her keys.  Then before she knew it, Sharon recalls, "my eyes are stinging and my throat's closing up.  Something weird smelling in here, then my dogs started to bark..."

Sharon says she walked out of her bedroom and went downstairs to the living room where she discovered the candle had burst into flames and "the cracking sound was the glass in the candle holder exploding."

Sharon says she doused the flames with water while Ozzy, who had just undergone surgery on his hand a day earlier, opened doors.

Firemen arrived on the scene around 5 a.m., before the blaze got out of control.

Sharon said the firemen were gorgeous, and joked that they laid her down on the front path, straddled her and gave her mouth-to-mouth.

Who Will Replace Sharon Osbourne on "America's Got Talent"?

Michael Tran/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Following the departure of Sharon Osbourne, the producers at America’s Got Talent are working hard to find a replacement.  According to TMZ sources, producers are considering three women: Shannen Doherty, Carly Simon and Leann Rimes.

Osbourne left the show in September after six seasons as a judge.  TMZ says Osbourne decided to call it quits after she claimed NBC dropped her son Jack Osbourne from a reality show due to his MS diagnosis.

And it's possible there may be other seats at the AGT judges' table to be filled.  According to TMZ, both Howard Stern and Howie Mandel are not yet under contract for next season.

The gossip website says no offers have yet been made to Doherty, Simon and Rimes.  In fact, NBC spokesperson Sharon Pannozzo insists that no such short list of prospective judges exists.

Sharon Osbourne Says Double Mastectomy Was a 'No-Brainer'

Michael Tran/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Sharon Osbourne says she was so fearful of getting breast cancer after discovering she carries a gene that increases her chances, she opted to undergo a double mastectomy and has “no regrets.”

The Sun quotes Osbourne as telling the new issue of Hello! magazine, “As soon as I found out I had the breast cancer gene, I thought ‘The odds are not in my favor.’”

The 60-year-old Osbourne, who beat colon cancer 10 years ago, says, “I’ve had cancer before and didn’t want to live under that cloud.  I decided to take everything off and had a double mastectomy.  For me, it was a no-brainer.”

The Talk co-host tells the magazine, “I want to be around a long time and be a grandmother...I didn’t even think of my breasts in a nostalgic way.  I just wanted to live without that fear.”

Osbourne also reveals she is now against plastic surgery after learning from doctors that her breast implants had leaked into her stomach wall.

Osbourne left America’s Got Talent this past September after six seasons as a judge on the NBC reality show.

Sharon Osbourne Quitting "America‚Äôs Got Talent" After Dispute with NBC?

SonMichael Tran/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Sharon Osbourne is leaving the judges' panel of America’s Got Talent following a dispute with NBC involving her son, Jack, the New York Post reports.

The 59-year-old wife of rock star Ozzy Osbourne is apparently “fuming” over how the network’s new reality series Stars Earn Stripes cut ties with their son after he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis earlier this year.

According to the New York Post, Osbourne claims that the producers of Stars Earn Stripes -- which will show celebrities taking on military training exercises -- fired Jack by email two days before he was due to report for work, then lied about it to the media.

Jack had appeared on his mother’s CBS daytime show, The Talk, back in June, claiming he was fired from a project -- he didn't disclose which one -- because of his medical condition.

At a press conference for Stars Earn Stripes last month, producer David Hurwitz insisted that Jack had not been hired for the show, adding, “He was somebody we were in talks with.”

Entertainment Weekly has published a statement by NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt that reads, “First, we have the deepest affection for Sharon Osbourne and consider her to be part of the NBC family. ...[A]s a company that cares deeply about the health and safety of everyone on our shows -- especially one like Stars Earn Stripes that requires dangerous water stunts, strenuous physical activity, and uses live ammunition -- we required all potential participants to undergo medical vetting to ensure that they could safely participate.  Although we did not ask Jack to participate in the competition, we were able to offer him two substantial alternative roles on the show, both of which he declined. This network does not discriminate on any basis.”

Regarding her position on AGT, Sharon Osbourne tells the New York Post that the show’s producer Simon Cowell has tried to make peace between her and the network but she says she won’t change her stance on the subject, insisting, "It’s discrimination, and it was badly handled."
