Sherri Shepherd Goes to Police After Receiving Twitter Threat

ABC/STEVE FENN(NEW YORK) -- Sherri Shepherd does not take being threatened on Twitter lightly.

The View co-host and recent Dancing with the Stars contestant went to the police after a Twitter user with the handle @DaCloneKiller wrote to her, "Somebody should drag u in a back alley and rape you."

Shepherd re-tweeted the comment Wednesday, then wrote, "THIS IS A THREAT & I'M PISSED."

After warning her followers about the dangers of online bullying, she wrote, "Just returned from filing a police report for this online harrassment nonsense. I will be pursuing this legally."

'Dancing With the Stars' New Season 14 Cast Revealed

ABC(LOS ANGELES) -- A whole new celebrity cast is putting on their dancing shoes and preparing to take the ballroom by storm on Season 14 of ABC's Dancing With the Stars.

Actor Jack Wagner of Melrose Place fame, TV star Melissa Gilbert, who became a household name as Laura Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie, The View co-host Sherri Shepherd, and Jaleel White, best known as Steve Urkel from Family Matters, are among this season's headliners.

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova, TV host Maria Menounos, Motown great Gladys Knight, opera singer Katherine Jenkins, Disney star Roshon Fegan, NFL champ Donald Driver, singer Gavin Degraw and Telenovela actor William Levy round out the celebrity line-up.

The new cast and their professional partners made their official debut Tuesday on Good Morning America.  Hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke Charvet joined GMA co-anchor Robin Roberts at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles for the live announcement.

The new season of Dancing With the Stars premieres in a live two-hour event on Monday, March 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Maria Menounos, Sherri Shepherd Set For 'Dancing with the Stars'?

ABC/Lou Rocco(NEW YORK) -- Extra host Maria Menounos, View co-host Sherri Shepherd and former Little House on the Prairie actress Melissa Gilbert will be part of the celebrity lineup for this season’s edition of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, according to the New York Post. 

The report says actor Jack Wagner and Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts will also be hitting the DWTS dance floor.

The celebrity cast for the hit reality dance competition is usually revealed in primetime during The Bachelor, but the lineup for this season will be officially announced Tuesday morning on Good Morning America.

The new season of Dancing with the Stars starts March 19.

Sherri Shepherd Lacing Up the Dancing Shoes?

ABC/STEVE FENN(LOS ANGELES) -- The View's sassy Sherri Shepherd won't be strapping on her dancing shoes anytime soon -- except if you count her wedding later this month.

TMZ reports the producers of Dancing with the Stars were "aggressively" trying to get the co-host onto the hit show, but Shepherd couldn't be swayed -- her folks have said she's too busy for DWTS, reports the gossip site.
