"Baywatch" Actress Hurt on Set of "Splash"

ABC/Adam Taylor(LOS ANGELES) -- Former Baywatch actress Nicole Eggert may be the latest celebrity to succumb to injury on ABC's celebrity diving competition, Splash.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Eggert was injured after a bad landing during a dive. The dive, which reportedly involved multiple backflips, ended with Eggert landing back-first in the water.

Eggert was helped out of the water, according to the Los Angeles Times, and taken to a nearby hospital. While she does not appear to have broken any bones, there was concern that she may have suffered internal injuries.

Eggert is not the first star to get hurt on the diving reality show. Comedian Chuy Bravo, assistant to Chelsea Handler on her show Chelsea Lately, dropped out before the first episode aired due to a fractured heel he suffered in practice. According to the Los Angeles Times, Miss Alabama Katherine Webb left the show after suffering a back injury.

Skier Rory Bushfield ruptured his eardrum during a dive, but did not leave the show.

Eggert, along with Bushfield, NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Actor Drake Bell, and former soccer star Brandi Chastain are still competing to win.

Chelsea Handler's Sidekick Drops Out of "Splash" Due to Injury

ABC/Craig Sjodin(LOS ANGELES) -- One of the celebrities on the new ABC series Splash has already jumped out of the diving competition, less than a week before its TV premiere.

Chuy Bravo, a sidekick to Chelsea Handler on her E! late-night show, has dropped out of Splash after suffering an injury on the set during the first day of taping, according to TMZ.com.

Bravo on Monday reportedly jumped up on a table near a pool, causing it to break.  He fell and fractured his heel bone, rendering him unable to dive.

TMZ.com reports Bravo has already been replaced by USA women's soccer star Brandi Chastain, who memorably ripped off her shirt, revealing her sports bra, when her team won the 1999 women's World Cup.

Splash -- also featuring comedian Louie Anderson, former Baywatch actress Nicole Eggert and ex-Cosby Show star Keshia Knight Pulliam, among others -- debuts on ABC next Tuesday night.
