Abercrombie & Fitch Draws Ire From Taylor Swift Fans

Jason Kempin/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- If there’s one group you don’t want to cross, it’s Swifties. That’s what members of Taylor Swift’s mega-fanbase call themselves. They are passionate, devoted and will not stand for any criticism — or even perceived criticism — of their idol.

That’s a lesson clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch learned the hard way this week.

The teen-centric company had a white T-shirt with silver print on the front that read  ”# more boyfriends than t.s.”

Abercrombie & Fitch should have known this was trouble.

The initials were taken to stand for Taylor Swift, the message to refer to her string of high-profile boyfriends, including Joe Jonas, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Harry Styles, which has been the fodder of many jokes.

The Swifties quickly mobilized and took to social media to defend the pop star. They even started a petition directed at the retailer.

One teen had some harsh words for the retailer, which she relayed in a YouTube video she made of herself leaving an angry message on the company’s customer service line.

“I think that this T-shirt was a huge waste of production. It is the most childish thing I have ever seen in my entire life,” the dismayed teen said. “I cannot believe that you guys would go as low to do something like that.”

The company must have gotten many similar phone calls because calls to the company are now greeted with the following message: “Thank you for calling Abercrombie & Fitch public relations. If you are calling regarding the Taylor Swift T-shirt, please note that this is no longer available.”

The clothing retailer also used its Twitter account to profess its love for the Billboard chart-topper, saying, “Hey #swifties we no longer sell the shirt. We <3 Taylor’s music and think she’s awesome.”

The company did not answer the question of whether the shirt’s unavailability had anything to do with the fan response, saying only in an email statement: “We set the shirt at the end of February, marked it down in the middle of March and it is no longer available.”

That was no comfort to the YouTube fan.

“Taylor has over 20 million Twitter followers, and there’s so many people that literally cannot stand Abercrombie & Fitch and honestly, I don’t even care that the T-shirt is out of production,” the teen said. “I will never shop at Abercrombie & Fitch again. I hope your business falls to the ground.”

It looks as if at least one fan will never ever be getting back together with the brand.

(LAS VEGAS) -- Star-studded collaborations are on tap for Sunday night's Billboard Music Awards, airing live on ABC from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Fans will see solo artists like Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars perform, of course, but they'll also enjoy some musical collaborations during the telecast, which starts at 8 p.m. ET.

Justin Bieber is actually doing double duty Sunday night: he'll sing his song "Take You" solo, and then team up with for their collaboration, "#thatpower." Pitbull is also doing double duty: he'll perform "Live It Up" with Jennifer Lopez, as well as "Feel This Moment" with Christina Aguilera and an unannounced "special guest." We're betting that special guest will be A-ha, the Norwegian '80s pop group whose song "Take On Me" is sampled in "Feel This Moment."

Other collaborations include David Guetta, Ne-Yo & Akon, who'll perform the song "Play Hard," and Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, who'll perform "High School."

Taylor Swift to Embark on Australian and New Zealand Tour

ABC/RICK ROWELL(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) -- Seven-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift announced Wednesday that she would be taking her tour to Australia and New Zealand, becoming the first solo female artist to headline stadiums across Australia in 20 years.

Swift’s The RED Tour currently has 66 shows in North America. A press release explained that she would be traveling Down Under in response to strong fan demand.

The tour, which features elaborate stages, costumes and set pieces, has Swift singing songs from her most recent RED album, as well as other fan-favorites.

Swift will play in Auckland, New Zealand first on November 29, and then head to Australia, where she will perform in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne.

The last solo female act to go on a national stadium tour in Australia was Madonna’s Girlie Show Tour back in 1993.

Swift can next be seen performing live on an ABC telecast from Las Vegas on May 19, and she will guest star on the finale of Fox’s New Girl on May 14.

Amy Poehler, Tina Fey Respond to Taylor Swift's Criticism

Paul Drinkwater/NBC(LOS ANGELES) -- In the new issue of Vanity Fair, Taylor Swift says she wasn't happy about the fact that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler poked fun at her at the Golden Globes earlier this year.

On stage at the Golden Globes, Tina announced, "You know what, Taylor Swift?  You stay away from Michael J. Fox's son."

Poehler added, "Or go for it," but then said, "No, she needs some 'me' time to learn about herself."

Addressing the topic of mean girls with Vanity Fair, Taylor quotes Katie Couric saying, "She said to me she had heard a quote that she loves that said, 'There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women.'"

Asked for her reaction to Taylor's comments in the Vanity Fair article, Poehler told The Hollywood Reporter, "Aw, I feel bad if she was upset.  I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl."

Poehler then added, "That being said, I do agree I am going to hell.  But for other reasons.  Mostly boring tax stuff."

For her part, Fey tells Entertainment Tonight, "I did not see that one coming.  It was a joke, it was a lighthearted joke."

Taylor Swift Insists She Is Not a 'Clingy, Desperate Girlfriend'

Kevin Mazur/WireImage via ABC(NEW YORK) -- Taylor Swift’s love life is none of your business.

Although her songs about boys and the ones that got away have won her enough trophies to mend any broken heart, the 23-year-old Swift has an issue with girls who mock other girls’ love lives.

In the April issue of Vanity Fair, Swift finally reveals what happened between her and One Direction’s Harry Styles, talks about the house she reportedly bought next to the Kennedy compound, and insists that she is not a clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend.

“‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women,’” said Swift, apparently quoting some advice from Katie Couric after this year’s Golden Globes, when Amy Poehler and Tina Fey mocked Swift’s highly publicized dating life.

In fact, the way her writing has been twisted into something other than a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way comes off to Swift as condescending.

“For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her,” Swift said, “I think that’s taking something that potentially should be celebrated -- a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way -- that’s taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist.”

Swift has had quite a romantic past to write about. Since her first album, she has been linked to Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, and John Mayer.

But Swift called it ridiculous that there are slide shows of a dozen guys she has been spotted hugging, meeting for lunch, or meeting for songwriting sessions.

“If you want some big revelation, since 2010 I have dated exactly two people,” Swift said, referring to Conor Kennedy and Styles.

Swift would not go into detail on her relationships with the two younger men, but she authorized someone to speak to Vanity Fair on her behalf about her exes.

“He was all, like, ‘You’re amazing -- I want to be with you. I want to do this,” the source said of Styles’ pursuit of Swift.  Trust issues were the couple’s downfall.  As the source said, Swift felt that Styles had a wandering eye.  She reconciled with Styles after a breakup over an Internet photo of him kissing a friend, but, “it was like he just didn’t want to keep going.”

Styles, 19, is not much older than Swift’s previous boyfriend, Kennedy, 17.  The source said that Swift felt that after dating men in their 30s, such as Gyllenhaal and Mayer, seeing younger men would be less painful.  “So it was like, ‘That hurt -- this won’t. But then it did,” the source said.

As for the house in Hyannis Port next to Kennedy’s family, “People say that about me, that I apparently buy houses near every boy I like -- that’s a thing that I apparently do,” Swift said, “If I like you I will apparently buy up the real estate market just to freak you out so you leave me.”

But that’s not the case according to Swift: “If there’s a pregnancy rumor, people will find out it’s not true when you wind up not being pregnant, like nine months from now.

“And if there’s a house rumor, they’ll find out it’s not true when you are actively not ever spotted at that house.”

Taylor Swift Sued for $2.5 Million

ABC/RICK ROWELL(NEW YORK) -- Country music superstar Taylor Swift is on the receiving end of a multimillion-dollar lawsuit that accuses her of taking a $2.5 million advance fee to perform at a festival in Ottawa, Canada, only to retain the money after the show was scrapped.

The complaint, obtained by E! Online and filed in federal court in New York by Florida-based ticketing company Fire USA Inc., accuses the 23-year-old singer of a breach of agreement by refusing to schedule a new performance after the Aug. 11, 2012 concert in Ottawa was cancelled.

“Taylor Swift, individually and/or through her agent [The] Messina [Group], refused to perform and or reschedule a new appearance, as agreed under the Oct. 18, 2011 agreement,” read the complaint.  “The acts of third-party defendant Taylor Swift and/or her agent Messina amounted to a breach of the aforementioned Oct. 18, 2011 agreement.”

Fire USA sued Swift after being sued itself by credit card payment processing company Evo Merchant Services for $1.8 million, according to the complaint.  Evo reportedly was on the hook for $1.8 million in canceled credit card billings after customers sought refunds en masse.

A representative of Swift’s declined to comment on the lawsuit when contacted by ABC News.  An email sent to the public relations firm representing Swift was not immediately returned.

Report: Taylor Swift and Harry Styles Split After Fight in the British Virgin Islands

ABC/RICK ROWELL(NEW YORK) -- It looks like Taylor Swift has more inspiration for her next album.  A source tells the New York Post Taylor split with boyfriend Harry Styles of One Direction after a fight last week in the British Virgin Islands.  The couple was vacationing together to celebrate the New Year, but Taylor reportedly took a morning flight off the island last Friday after the fight.

Harry headed over to Richard Branson's private resort on Necker Island for some hot tub time with friends that day according to Business Insider.  He was back in the U.K. by Saturday.

Taylor's Twitter post from Saturday, "…til you put me down," seemed to hint at a breakup.  It's a line from her song "I Knew You Were Trouble."

Harry and Taylor were photographed sharing a long, New Year's Eve kiss in Times Square following Taylor's performance on New Year's Rockin' Eve.

Man Arrested for Trespassing at Nashville Estate Associated with Taylor Swift

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images via ABC(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) -- A 24-year-old man from Mashfield, WI was arrested in Nashville early Friday morning for trespassing at a home associated with Taylor Swift. It's believed Taylor's parents live at the exclusive estate south of downtown.

According to Nashville ABC affiliate WKRN, Jacob Kulke climbed a fence and a gate to get the house but was stopped by security. Sources tell WKRN Kulke had a pocket knife on him at the time.

The suspect told police he had a relationship with someone in the house and had to see her for her birthday. Taylor celebrated her 23rd birthday on Thursday, and Kulke reportedly had tweeted her a birthday greeting that day. He also tweeted two days earlier, "Had to see about a girl."

Taylor Swift Says She Doesn't Know How To Make Love Last

Kevin Mazur/WireImage via ABC(NEW YORK) -- From all outward appearances, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles of One Direction are dating: they've been seen numerous times holding hands and they've also, according to People magazine, been spotted kissing.  How long will this romance last?  It's hard to say, since Taylor admits in a new interview that she has no idea how to keep one going.

In an interview with the British edition of Cosmopolitan magazine, Taylor is asked what she still doesn't understand about relationships, and she replies, "How to make them last. I’ve never had a really long relationship, so I have no idea what that’s like. Wish me luck for the future!”

Perhaps the future is here.  Though Harry is four years younger than Taylor, she tells Cosmo UK that age is never an issue for her. "I really don’t have any rules about dating when it comes to height, age, career choice, anything like that. It doesn’t matter," she tells the magazine. "It’s really more about strength of character. When it comes to age I’ve been all over the map!”

Last month, Harry told the same magazine that he, "finds ambition really attractive ... if someone’s good at something they love doing. I want someone who is driven.” Sounds like Taylor's the perfect match for him.

Still, the two have yet to confirm their relationship, and their friends are clamming up as well.  Asked what he thinks about Taylor and Harry dating, Ed Sheeran, who's friendly with both of them, feigned ignorance, telling reporters Friday night, "I don't know what you're talking about!"

As for Harry's bandmate, Louis Tomlinson, he also wouldn't confirm the relationship.  Asked if he was happy that the two had gotten together, Louis told reporters Friday night, "Well, I don't think they're talking about whatever's happened between them now."  He would only say that he was happy that they're "good friends," adding that he thinks Taylor's a "lovely girl."

As for Ed, he did go so far as to say why he thinks any guy would be lucky to date Taylor.  "She's a very warm, loving person and I think she kinda spreads that around to her fans and family and friends," he told reporters. "And I think if a guy pinned her down, they'd be happy with that."
