(ASUNCION, Paraguay) -- Steven Tyler was hospitalized Tuesday in Asuncion, Paraguay, after an apparent fall in his hotel bathroom, Agence France-Press reports, citing a Spanish-language article in the country's ABC Digital. The Aerosmith singer, whose band was supposed to play in Asuncion on Tuesday night as part of its recently launched South American tour, reportedly broke two teeth and suffered cuts to his mouth and his eyebrow in the accident. According to ABC Digital, the concert has been postponed.
In August 2009, Tyler broke his shoulder after falling from the stage during an Aerosmith concert in Sturgis, South Dakota, bringing that show to an abrupt halt. He later admitted that he had been snorting the sleeping pill Lunesta prior to the gig.
