Brits Happy as Andy Murray Beats Novak Djokovic in Wimbledon Finals

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(LONDON) -- Andy Murray pulled out a win against Novak Djokovic on Center Court at Wimbledon Sunday.

Murray’s straight-sets victory over Novak Djokovic in the 2013 Wimbledon men’s final may be nothing short of cosmic, highlighting the tennis player’s uncanny connection with the number seven.

Not only did Murray’s win end a 77-year-long drought for a British men’s singles champion, but the date Sunday was 7/7.

Want more? The last British Wimbledon winner, Virginia Wade, took home a win 36 years ago, in 1977.

Murray made it to the Wimbledon finals last year, but lost to Roger Federer.

Djokovic is a week younger than Murray - both are 26. Murray's first big tournament win was the US Open last year.

Djokovic has won six major tournaments, including Wimbledon and the 2011 US Open.

Anna Kournikova Leaving 'The Biggest Loser'

Michael Buckner/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Tennis star Anna Kournikova is leaving NBC's The Biggest Loser after just one season as a trainer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kournikova worked on season 12 of the reality weight loss series, but after conflicts with staffers and contestants she decided to exit.  A source on the show told The Hollywood Reporter that Kournikova was "a nightmare."

Meanwhile, Kournikova said in a statement, "I enjoyed my time on the Biggest Loser ranch. Although I will not be returning as a full time trainer on season 13, I will always be a part of The Biggest Loser family and my commitment to bettering lives through health and fitness will continue..."
