'Chronicles of Narnia' Producer Perry Moore, Dead at 39

Photo Courtesy - Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Perry Moore, a co-producer of the Chronicles of Narnia film franchise, has died at 39.

Moore's partner, Hunter Hill, found him unconscious in the bathroom of his Manhattan apartment Thursday morning, sources told New York Daily News. He later died at the hospital, officials say.

Moore co-produced three Narnia films and authored an illustrated book as a companion to the series' first film.

Police say the New York City medical examiner is working to determine Moore's cause of death.

Latest 'Chronicles of Narnia' Film Debuts at Number One

Photo Courtesy - 20th Century Fox/Fox Walden(NEW YORK) -- The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader made the trip to number one at the box office over the weekend.  The third film in the series debuted with an estimated $24.5 million.

The only other movie to open in wide release, the Angelina Jolie-Johnny Depp thriller The Tourist, ended the weekend in second place, raising $17 million.  The previous box office champ, Disney's Tangled, dropped to the third spot, with $14.6 million.

Here are the top 10 movies from Friday through Sunday, with estimated ticket sales:

1. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, $24.5 million.
2. The Tourist, $17 million.
3. Tangled, $14.6 million.
4. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 1, $ 8.5 million.
5. Unstoppable, $3.8 million.
6. Black Swan, $3.3 million.
7. Burlesque, $3.2 million.
8. Love and Other Drugs, $3 million.
9. (tie) Due Date, $2.5 million.
