'Wimpy Kid' Dodges 'Sucker Punch' at Box Office
Twentieth Century Fox(LOS ANGELES) -- Fox’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules proved that it wasn’t such a wimp after all, as it held off all competition to take top honors at the box office over the weekend, raking in $24.4 million.
Like the original Wimpy Kid movie, Greg Hefley still desires popularity but still can't get out of his own awkward way and his older brother Rodrick is more than willing to facilitate Greg's embarrassing antics.
Coming in second at the box office was the Warner Bros. film, Sucker Punch, which garnered $19 million.
Completing the top five were Limitless at $15.2 million, The Lincoln Lawyer at $11.0 million and Rango at $9.8 million, in that order.
