iStockphoto/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) -- Here's a look at the new movies opening nationwide Friday:

-- The Three Musketeers: In the latest retelling of the classic story, Logan Lerman's D'Artagnan joins the three Musketeers -- Porthos, Athos and Aramis -- on a mission to protect the king of France from the evil Cardinal Richelieu.  Ray Stevenson, Matthew Macfadyen, Luke Evans, Orlando Bloom, Christoph Waltz and Milla Jovovich also star in the film, which is screening in 3D.  Rated PG-13.

-- Paranormal Activity 3: Two young sisters in 1988 are haunted by a supernatural being at home.  Rated R.

-- Johnny English Reborn: British comedian Rowan Atkinson returns as the bumbling secret agent Johnny English, who first appeared on the big screen in 2003.  This time around, English is called upon to thwart a plot to kill to a Chinese premier.  Gillian Anderson and Dominic West also star.  Rated PG.

-- The Mighty Macs: The sports drama is based on the true story of the 1971-1972 Immaculata College women's basketball team, which improbably won a national championship.  Carla Gugino plays the coach of the all-women's Catholic school in Philadelphia.  David Boreanaz and Ellen Burstyn also star.  Rated G.  [Click here to read a review]
