TMZ Retracts Story Claiming Janet Jackson Slapped Her Niece Paris

D Dipasupil/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- One of the most shocking developments in the ongoing Jackson family saga was the claim made by TMZ that Janet Jackson had publicly slapped her niece Paris Jackson and called her a "spoiled little bitch," and that Paris had slapped Janet back.  At the time, Janet's brother Randy Jackson denied such an altercation had taken place, and now TMZ has retracted its story.

TMZ has issued a statement saying, "Janet Jackson did not slap or verbally abuse Paris Jackson during a confrontation at the Jackson family home in Calabasas last week. … Although we believed the story to be true when we published it, we have now determined it was not correct ... Janet did not slap or otherwise touch Paris, nor did she verbally abuse her."

The alleged incident took place last Monday night, July 23, when the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to a "family disturbance" at the Jackson family home.  There were reports that Randy, Jermaine Jackson and Janet showed up, broke through a security gate and apparently tried to take Paris and her brothers Prince Michael and Blanket.  At the time, Sandra Ribera, a lawyer for Katherine Jackson, described the scene as "chaos," and also claimed that Janet grabbed Paris' cell phone.

Alec Baldwin Reveals He Wanted to 'Gut' TMZ Creator

Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- It's no secret Alec Baldwin has a bad temper.

Recently, he's gotten into many confrontations with New York City paparazzi.  And in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the actor, who married Hilaria Thomas in Manhattan's Little Italy on Saturday, admitted he wanted to "gut" TMZ's creator, Harvey Levin.

"I wanted to stick a knife in him and gut him and kill him, and I wanted him to die breathing his last breath looking into my eyes," Baldwin said of the gossip site's founder.

Years ago, Levin's site posted nasty voicemails Baldwin left for his daughter Ireland, then 11, during his bitter divorce and custody battle with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

Now that the 54-year-old actor has married again, he may have let bygones be bygones.  Later in the article he said, "You have to let that go.  Enough time -- I mean, it does heal wounds."

We know we won't hear more from Baldwin on the matter on Twitter -- he deactivated his account on Monday.

Judge Denies TMZ’s Request to Film Brooke Mueller Hearing

Christopher Polk/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- A judge denied the celebrity news website TMZ access to film a court hearing for Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife Brooke Mueller on Jan. 23.

Mueller is appearing in a Colorado court on a felony charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and a misdemeanor assault offense.

In her order, Pitkin County District Judge Gail Nichols wrote that a live courtroom feed from TMZ “would interfere with the rights of a party to a fair trial” and “would unduly detract from the solemnity, decorum and dignity of the court,” according to The Aspen Times.

TMZ petitioned the court last month for access to Mueller’s first court appearance.

Mueller, 34, was arrested in Aspen Colorado on Dec. 2 on charges of cocaine possession, according to Aspen police spokesperson Blair Weyer.

At 11:32 p.m. that night, police said they were on a “routine walk through” at the Belly Up club on Galena Street in Aspen.

They began talking to an unidentified woman who said that Mueller had assaulted her.

Police contacted Mueller  just after midnight about a block away at the Escobar nightclub.

She was arrested and charged with third degree assault, along with felony possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, according to an Aspen Police press release.

The release did not give any further details on the circumstances of the alleged assault, and a police spokesperson did not immediately return messages to ABC News.

Mueller posted an $11,000 bond and was released.

Mueller has famously run into trouble in Aspen before. On Christmas day in 2009, Mueller called 911 to report that Sheen had assaulted her.

The couple, who have two young sons, later divorced.

Lindsay Lohan’s Hawaiian Vacation Approved by Probation Officer: Report

Toby Canham/Getty Images(HONOLULU) -- Lindsay Lohan is in Hawaii on a beach vacation approved by her probation officer, according to TMZ.

According to the terms of her probation, Lohan is allowed to travel, but only with permission from her probation officer.

Lohan’s probation officer was apparently impressed by the fact that she is ahead of schedule in her court-ordered morgue duty and psychotherapy sessions, sources told TMZ.

Lindsay Lohan had hoped to reveal her first-ever Playboy cover during an appearance next week on “The Ellen Degeneres Show,” but as with most things Lohan, this, too, did not go according to plan.

The sexy cover shot was leaked online Tuesday on the website The It shows Lohan, in just a pair of black heels, straddling a red plastic chair in the shape of Playboy’s iconic bunny to strategically cover her up. The “Mean Girls” actress runs her hands through her long blond cascading hair.

Lohan will offer a more detailed look when she sits down with Degeneres Dec. 15, which will be her first media appearance since she served 4½ hours in jail for violating her probation.

Her appearance comes just before of the January/February issue of the men’s magazine hitting newsstands.

Mel Gibson Will Plead Guilty, Won't Face Jail in Abuse Case

Valerie Macon/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- is reporting Mel Gibson will cop a plea with Los Angeles prosecutors in his domestic abuse case. The Oscar-winning Braveheart director and star will reportedly plead guilty to a reduced charge of simple battery -- which will spare him from a more serious charge, corporal injury to a spouse, and spare him any time behind bars. Gibson was accused of punching ex Oksana Grigorieva at his Malibu home last January.

Also key to Gibson's decision was that a plea deal would spare his family from the drama of a drawn-out celebrity trial. In a statement, Gibson's lawyer Blair Berk told the gossip site, "Sometimes justice can come for a client at too high a personal price. That is particularly so for Mel, whose right to due process can only be exercised in this case with an enormous media circus attached. Mel's priority throughout all of this has been that the best interests of his young daughter Lucia and the rest of his children be put first in any decisions made. It is with only that in mind that he asked me to approach the District Attorney with a proposal that would bring all of this to an immediate end." Gibson was reportedly confident he could have overcome Grigorieva's accusations in court, according to TMZ.

Gibson and Grigorieva will continue their bitter custody dispute over their infant daughter. The actor's lawyers have also presented evidence that Grigorieva tried to extort him by threatening to release now infamous phone fights between Grigorieva and the Lethal Weapon star.

Christina Aguilera Detained by Police, Boyfriend Arrested

Photo Courtesy - WireImage/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Contrary to a report by TMZ, Christina Aguilera was not arrested for public intoxication on Tuesday morning. According to a statement provided to ABC News by the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, Christina was detained -- not arrested -- because she was intoxicated and "not able to care for her safety."  She was taken into custody, and officials stress she was not involved in any criminal activity.  She will be released, officials say, when she can "safely care for herself."

Officials confirm that Christina's boyfriend, Matt Rutler, was arrested for driving under the influence.  Christina was a passenger in the car which was stopped in West Hollywood at 2:45am Tuesday.  That was when the deputies who pulled Rutler over determined that Christina was intoxicated.

The recently-divorced Aguilera has been under a microscope lately after a series of public missteps, including blowing a lyric of the national anthem at the Super Bowl, stumbling onstage at the Grammys, and allegedly misbehaving at a celebrity party.

Charlie Sheen Tells ABC He's Clean, Will Come to Work Anyway

Photo Courtesy - Jeff Vespa/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Charlie Sheen's TV show Two and a Half Men may have shut down production, but that evidently won't stop the actor for attempting to do his job. In a series of text messages sent Friday, Sheen told ABC's Good Morning America that he's "100 percent clean" and plans to show up for work anyway.  Sheen also said that he is in talks with HBO to start his own show called Sheen's Corner, which reports would earn him $5 million per episode.

Sheen's claims are news to HBO -- the network told the Hollywood Reporter that they are not, in fact, in talks with the actor about a series.  Sheen had gone into detail about Sheen's Corner to Radar Online, claiming it was a "10-show guarantee," and saying it would be "epic, all types of guests and we would focus on the truth and the absurd!"

In the GMA texts, the embattled actor also continued his war of words with Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre, calling him a "clown" and a "loser."  Sheen gave a scathing and seemingly anti-semitic rant against Lorre on Thursday during a radio interview.  He also told TMZ that he "violently hates" Lorre.

Miley Cyrus Seen Smoking a Bong in New Video

Photo Courtesy - TMZ [dot] com(LOS ANGELES) -- Miley Cyrus’ image continues to get less wholesome. has obtained a video of the Hannah Montana star inhaling from a bong.  The website claims the video was shot during a party at Cyrus' house in Los Angeles on Nov. 28 -- five days after she turned 18.

In the video, Cyrus inhales and then announces she's having a "bad trip" before discussing how someone near her resembles her ex-boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth.  She then has a laughing fit and goes on to mumble while continuing to giggle.

A source claims the bong was filled a natural herb known as salvia, which, according to TMZ, "has psychedelic qualities."  It is legal to possess salvia in California.

Report: Christina Aguilera Files for Divorce

Photo Courtesy - Ronald Martinez/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Reports that Christina Aguilera and her husband Jordan Bratman had no plans to divorce just yet appear to be inaccurate. The couple, who confirmed their separation earlier this week, are apparently kaput.

Christina has just filed for divorce, reports, and in the petition, she cites "irreconcilable differences."  The petition also states that she and Jordan separated on September 11th of this year.

TMZ says that according to the petition, there is a prenup in place, and Christina is seeking joint physical and legal custody of her and Jordan's son, two-year-old Max.
