(LOS ANGELES) -- Tom Bosley, most famous for his role as Howard Cunningham on Happy Days, has died at his home in Palm Springs. He was 83.
“He was a true artist...a great husband and a fabulous father and grandfather,” Henry Winkler, Bosley’s Happy Days co-star, told TMZ.com. “He will be sorely missed but never forgotten."
Though he's best known for his role on Happy Days, Bosley was also a regular on Murder, She Wrote and played the title role in the series Father Dowling Mysteries. He continued to make appearances in movies and on TV -- his most recent movie role was earlier this year in the Jennifer Lopez movie The Back-Up Plan. He was also a commercial pitchman, most notably appearing in ads for Glad Trash Bags.
