Tom Cruise the Victim of 'Swatting' Incident

ABC/RICK ROWELL(BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.) -- It appears Tom Cruise has become the latest celebrity victim of "swatting," a term used for prank phone calls made with the intention of getting police officers sent to an unsuspecting home.

The Beverly Hills Police Department says it received a 911 call Thursday morning regarding an armed robbery in progress at a home.  Officers responded to the Beverly Hills, Calif., residence, which turned out to be Cruise's, and they determined there was no emergency there.

Neither Cruise nor his family members were home at the time.

Police are investigating the matter as a false report.

Last month, Los Angeles police said they arrested a juvenile they believe was involved in swatting incidents involving Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber.  Miley Cyrus and Simon Cowell were also victims of swatting incidents in 2012.

Tom Cruise Takes 26-Year-Old Brunette Dancing

ABC/RICK ROWELL(LOS ANGELES) -- Six months on from his divorce from Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise has been spotted with a new woman, reports InTouch.

The 50-year-old Jack Reacher star was seen with 26-year-old brunette Cynthia Jorge at a New York City nightclub in the early hours of Dec. 18.  According to an eyewitness, Cruise was "mesmerized" by Jorge and was “sweeping her around the dance floor” at Manhattan's LeBaron Club.

The two apparently met on Dec. 16 at the Manhattan restaurant Beauty & Essex, where Jorge works as a manager.  A restaurant insider tells InTouch, that as Cruise and his entourage were leaving after a meal, Jorge handed him her card.

It seems that the star called at least twice trying to track down Jorge and was “put on hold for a very long time,” according to the insider.

Two days later, the pair were joined by friends at the club.  A witness says Cruise and Jorge huddled in a booth and danced.  At one point, the witness claims Cruise and Jorge “began grinding together,” adding, "It was a scene straight out of Dirty Dancing.  Tom seemed to be in his own world, completely smitten.”

The onlooker told InTouch Cruise made sure a private car was waiting outside the club at the end of the night, to get Jorge home safely.

The source said of Cruise, “It was obvious.  He’s enamored with this woman.”

A rep for the actor says reports that Cruise and Jorge are dating are "false."

Cruise Film, "Family Guy" Episode Postponed After Connecticut Shooting

ABC/RICK ROWELL(NEW YORK) -- The premiere of the Tom Cruise film Jack Reacher, originally scheduled for Saturday in Pittsburgh, has been postponed due to the Newtown, Conn., school massacre.

Jack Reacher was scheduled to premier to American audiences just one day after Adam Lanza allegedly entered a Connecticut elementary school and murdered 20 children and six adults. Presumably, the film’s gritty content and gun violence are what lead to the decision from Paramount Pictures.

“Due to the terrible tragedy in Newtown, Conn., and out of honor and respect for the families of the victims whose lives were senselessly taken, we are postponing tomorrow’s Pittsburgh premiere of Jack Reacher,”  Paramount said in a Dec. 14 statement to the Hollywood Reporter. “Our hearts go out to all those who lost loved ones.”

The film’s plot revolves around the mysterious appearance of title character Jack Reaper, played by Cruise, in Pittsburgh, after a violent opening sequence in which a sniper “methodically gun down what looks to be five random targets,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Also, in a change to its Sunday broadcast schedule, the Fox network reportedly will not air new episodes of Family Guy and American Dad as planned, opting instead for previously aired episodes of each, according to Entertainment Weekly. The network has not yet made an official statement concerning the decision.

This is not the first time an entertainment company has rescheduled a film premier in consideration of recent tragic events.

In July, Warner Bros. canceled the Paris, Mexico City and Tokyo premieres of its film “Dark Knight Rises” after James Holmes allegedly killed 12 and injured 58 in a shooting during an Aurora, Colo., screening of the movie. Cast members Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and Morgan Freeman, along with their director Christopher Nolan, subsequently canceled several media appearances, as well.

Jack Reacher is scheduled for national release Dec. 21.

Nicole Kidman Reflects on Marriage with Tom Cruise

Charles Eshelman/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Nicole Kidman speaks about her 10-year-long marriage to Tom Cruise in the Winter 2012 issue of DuJour magazine.

Kidman says that in 1990, when they married, she was "totally smitten" with Cruise.  She notes, "I would have gone to the ends of the earth for him."

The now 45-year-old actress admits that back then she was very "impulsive and naïve," and all the attention she and Cruise received as a celebrity couple made them feel isolated.

She explains, "We were in a bubble, just the two of us.  We became very dependent on one another."

When they ended their relationship in 2000, she says, "It took me a very long time to heal.  It was a shock to the system."

Today, Kidman is married to country star Keith Urban, and the pair have two daughters together.

Kidman says of Urban, "He is a wonderful, caring man and he makes me feel secure.  We don't ever like to be separated."

Tom Cruise Sues Two Magazines for Claiming He Abandoned Suri

ABC/RICK ROWELL(LOS ANGELES) -- Tom Cruise has filed a $50 million lawsuit against two magazines that claimed he abandoned the 6-year-old daughter he has with his ex-wife, Katie Holmes.

E! Online reports that the lawsuit, filed Wednesday in a California federal court, stems from a July 30 cover story published by Life & Style and an Oct. 1 cover story published by In Touch Weekly, both claiming the actor "abandoned" Suri.  Both magazines are owned by Bauer Publishing.

Cruise's lawyer, Bert Fields, says in a statement obtained by E! Online, "Tom is a caring father who dearly loves Suri.  She's a vital part of his life and always will be.  To say he has 'abandoned' her is a vicious lie.  To say it in lurid headlines with a tearful picture of Suri is reprehensible."

According to the New York Daily News, Fields says that if Cruise wins the case, he'll donate the money to charity.

Report: Tom Cruise Yearns to See Daughter Suri in Midst of Intense Film Schedule

James Devaney/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Like many divorced parents, consistent access to children can be tricky.

According to People magazine, Tom Cruise is one of those dads struggling to align his schedule to spend more time with six-year-old daughter Suri.

"I've got to see her. I miss her," is what an emotional Tom told a friend recently, People reports.  Getting in the way of Tom's day-to-day connection with Suri is the pre-production schedule for his upcoming sci-fi action movie All You Need Is Kill.  Tom has been on location working in London, England as part of a schedule that was booked long ago, sources say.

Several sources confirm to the magazine that a mid-September visit had been planned but later nixed, the magazine reports.  That places the last get together for Tom and Suri at Aug. 5 when they vacationed at Walt Disney World.  Before the divorce, People reports it was easier for the two to spend time as Suri was home-schooled. Now, Suri is attending first grade at a private school in New York City.

Dad and daughter do manage to talk several times a day, People reports.  Friend and screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie confirms, "I can tell you that I haven't had a meeting with Tom that was not interrupted by a phone call with his daughter."

The actor's divorce from Katie Holmes was finalized in August with Katie reportedly received primary physical custody of Suri.

Heartbroken Tom Cruise Misses Daughter Suri, Friend Says

Europa Press/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Tom Cruise’s heart is “broken” over the separation from his daughter Suri, who moved to Manhattan with her mother, Katie Holmes, when her parents divorced earlier this year, a friend of the actor said.

Speaking in an interview in the new issue of People magazine, on newsstands Friday, Cruise’s friend screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie revealed that the star had not seen 6-year-old Suri since the two returned from a vacation to Disney World on Aug. 5.

“I’ve got to see her.  I miss her,” an emotional Cruise said, according to McQuarrie.

The longtime Hollywood A-lister has two other children from his prior marriage to actress Nicole Kidman.

The actor was married to Holmes for nearly six years, and reportedly was blindsided when she filed for divorce on June 28, a few days shy of his 50th birthday.

The 33-year-old actress has primary custody of  Suri.  Holmes and her daughter now live in Manhattan, and the girl attends private school there.

Even though they now live in different cities and his work schedule is tough, Cruise talks to his daughter many times a day, People reported, citing several sources.

“I can tell you that I haven’t had a meeting with Tom that was not interrupted by a phone call with his daughter,” McQuarrie, who has worked on four films with Cruise, also told People.  “His heart is broken.  He misses his little girl and works very hard at parenting.”

Holmes and Cruise reportedly are working out their co-parenting amicably.

“He loves his kid, and he’s going to be a loving presence in her life as long as he lives,” McQuarrie said.

The actor has been busy working on movies to which he had committed before Holmes filed for divorce, while Holmes has immersed herself in several new projects, including a makeup endorsement, a Broadway show and the launch of her new fashion line, Holmes & Yang.

Kirstie Alley Defends Tom Cruise on "Vanity Fair's" Scientology Claims

Donna Ward/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Kirstie Alley is defending her friend Tom Cruise against Vanity Fair's claims that The Church of Scientology devised "a top-secret process" of auditioning actresses to play the real-life role of his girlfriend.

"I think whenever you have articles written that are third and fourth parties' opinions -- it's like the game Gossip and you don't get the truth -- I think that a magazine of that caliber should have interviewed him, and then they would get the truth," Alley told Entertainment Tonight during New York Fashion Week.

In the October issue of Vanity Fair, special correspondent Maureen Orth reports that Nazanin Boniadi was selected from a group of Scientologist actresses to play the role of Cruise's girlfriend.  Orth, who interviewed "several sources," claims that the entire arrangement was headed by Shelly Miscavige, the wife of Scientology chief David Miscavige.

"I think that probably all religions sound bizarre to the people who are not the practitioners of them," Alley said, adding, "To me it's so normal, and probably 90 percent of the crazy stuff I hear isn't true."

Alley is set to compete on the upcoming Dancing with the Stars: All Stars.

A rep for Cruise told ABC News in a statement: "Lies in a different font are still lies -- designed to sell magazines."

The Church of Scientology denies to the magazine that there was any such recruiting project and did not respond to ABC News' request for a statement.

Boniadi, 32, went on to appear in the ABC soap General Hospital and the 2010 superhero film Iron Man.  She is now a spokesperson for Amnesty International and no longer involved with Scientology, according to the magazine.

Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Cruise earlier this year after six years of marriage.
