Nicki Minaj’s Tour Demands: Fried Chicken, Humidifier, Full Tea Set

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- In what has become a trademark of divahood, Nicki Minaj joins the ranks of superstars who request a laundry list of seemingly over-the-top items for their dressing rooms.

In a recent interview for the February/March issue of Wonderland magazine, the 29-year-old singer revealed her demands while on tour -- not just for herself, she said, but for the entourage that hangs out with her backstage.

The magazine obtained a full tour rider list for Minaj, which includes roses, a full tea set, fine silverware, a case of Red Bull, several different kinds of fruit, a full-fledged breakfast spread and deli sandwich tray -- and that’s just for setting the table. Minaj also requests several items to help her voice, including a humidifier and throat lozenges.

Here’s a peek at the list:

  • Two dozen pink or white roses and three large Baked Goods scented candles
  • Hot tea setup with lemon wedges, sugar and honey. Must include teacups, saucers, spoons and napkins, and decaffeinated Lipton Tea bags
  • Two packs Halls lemon honey drops and three packs of Thayers Slippery Elm lozenges (three different flavors)
  • Contact lense solution with case, two space heaters -- very important -- and a cool mist humidifier
  • Three packs of gum in three different flavors
  • Twenty-four bottles of Dasani Water (12 at room temperature,12 on ice)
  • Twelve cans of Red Bull (six at room temp, six iced)
  • Twelve bottles of Martinelli’s Apple Juice (six at room temp, six iced)
  • Twenty-four bottles of Snapple, 12 must be Lemon Ice Tea, 12 other assorted flavors
  • Singer’s Saving Grace throat spray
  • Two large bottles of assorted fruit juices and one gallon of Simply Lemonade -- please supply one small tub of clean ice and cups for drinks.
  • Egg Whites (scrambled hard), turkey bacon (fried hard), white toast (grape and strawberry jelly/jam). Belgian waffles (syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream, butter and strawberries on side), enough to serve four people
  • One large fruit platter with side of mango and one large cheese platter
  • Three twelve-piece buckets of fried chicken, spicy -- no thighs, lots of wings
  • A deli tray with turkey breast meat, grilled chicken breast, whole wheat bread or rolls, yellow mustard and other condiments (seasoned salt, hot sauce), plates, forks, spoons, knives, napkins and straws (enough for six people)
  • Salad -- iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, green olives, Wishbone Light Italian dressing, Bumble Bee tuna in water, wheat or low-fat crackers
  • Carrots and dip
  • Cranberries (dried), almonds (raw-not roasted)
  • One set of fine silverware/stainless steel silverware

While the list seems long, the singer told the magazine the real Nicki is a “different” person from her neon-painted, latex-wearing diva self.

"They’re definitely two completely different people," she said. “Obviously, what I would wear at home is not what I would wear up on stage, and I think, when I’m at home it’s a way more introspective character and I think the person people see onstage is anything but.”

The multi-platinum rapper, who took home the best hip-hop video at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, is up for the best new artist award at this year’s Grammys. Minaj is expected to drop her new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded on April 3.

Minaj is not the first diva to make elaborate requests while on tour -- not by a long shot. She’s pretty tame when compared to Mariah Carey, who reportedly asked for kittens and white doves when she was turning on Christmas lights at the Westfield London Shopping Center in 2009.

Also in 2009, Lady Gaga demanded lambs and hundreds of butterflies onstage for her performance on The X Factor. However, her request to have lions accompany her at the MTV Video Music Awards that year was denied.

The Smoking Gun obtained a backstage rider list from Rihanna’s 2010 tour that showed the singer had very particular demands, including specifics about the exact size of the couch she wanted in her dressing room and how she liked her flowers arranged.

Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi Diagnosed with Lymphoma

Kevin Winter/Getty Images(LONDON) -- Following November's announcement that Black Sabbath would be reuniting with Ozzy Osbourne for a new album and tour, there's now some bad news from the band's camp:  Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma, and the band is asking fans to send "positive vibes" the guitarist's way.

According to a statement from the band's representatives, Iommi, 63, is, "currently working with his doctors to establish the best treatment plan," and is, "determined to make a full and successful recovery."

The news apparently isn't putting a damper on the reunion plans. The current members of Black Sabbath, which include Ozzy, Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, are still writing and recording their first album together in 33 years, and a fall release date is still the target.  However, the band will move the sessions to the U.K. so they can continue to work with Iommi as he receives treatment.

Van Halen Announces Official Album and Tour Details

Steve Granitz/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Van Halen has confirmed details about their hotly anticipated new studio effort and plans for a major North American tour to support the recording. The album will be titled A Different Kind of Truth and, as expected, will hit stores on February 7. The first single will be called "Tattoo" and will be released on Tuesday, the same day a video for the tune will premiere.

The tour will kick off February 18 in Louisville, Kentucky, and is scheduled to wind its way around the U.S. and Canada through a June 26 show in New Orleans. 'American Idol's' Scotty McCreery, Pia Toscano Talk Tour Secrets, Future

American Idol winner Scotty McCreery performs on GMA's Summer Concert Stage August 12, 2011. ABC(NEW YORK) --  American Idol's Top 11 finalists rocked out New York City's Central Park Friday, performing at Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series. GMA's Lara Spencer talked to season 10 Idol winner Scotty McCreery and finalist Pia Toscano after their performance and got the inside scoop on life on the Idol tour bus and much more.

The "Idols" are currently on the American Idol Live Tour, which wraps up in September. So what's life been like on the road with so many of their competitors?
"We have a girl's bus and a guy's bus, so us girls are so exhausted by the end of the show ... we just go to sleep," Toscano said.

"The guys, we stay up late," McCreery quipped. "We're jamming in the back and playing pranks on each other.

"We all get along really well," Toscano added.

McCreery Loves Elvis

Growing up, McCreery, who was born and raised in North Carolina, did impersonations of music legend Elvis Presley. "I was the Elvis fanatic when everyone else was into N'Sync and Backstreet Boys … so I was the weird kid back in elementary and middle school," he said.

McCreery grew up singing in church choirs and began guitar lessons at age 10. At 13, his voice changed and dropped to the famous deep tone that made him "Idol." At 17, McCreery became the youngest male winner in the show's history.

What's Next?

Both McCreery and Toscano have big plans for the future. McCreery's debut album, Clear as Day, comes out Oct. 4. His single I Love You This Big earned the highest debut for a new artist's first single on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart since 1990.

"We didn't expect it to do as well as it did on radio … so that was a really humbling experience … and it was really cool to see that," he told Spencer.

Toscano recently released her debut music video for the single This Time and she will release a new album this fall.

"Down the line I would love to act sometime … but I just think I am going to stick with music right now," she said.

Kate Middleton on Having a Baby: 'Yes, I Hope To'

David Cheskin - WPA Pool/Getty Images(QUEBEC CITY, Canada) -- Could the pitter-patter of little feet be in the future for royal newlyweds Prince William and Kate Middleton?

Perhaps not quite yet, but as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge interacted with fans in Quebec City, Canada, Sunday as part of their North American tour, one fan wished Kate well in starting a family. Kate, 29, who has not spoken publicly about children, was overheard saying, "Yes, I hope to."

"It was really quite a surprise to hear her say that, quite an emotional response," said Katie Nicholl, an ABC News contributor and author of The Making of a Royal Romance. "For Kate to give such an intimate aspiration is very special.

"You look at the two of them. It's the chemistry, the love between them. It won't be long before they will," she added.

The moment happened when two little girls went up to the royal couple to give them flowers. The father of one of the little girls, David Cheater, was the fan who received Kate's unexpected response.

"It was privilege, a real privilege," Cheater said, holding 2-year-old daughter Raffaella.

The royal couple continues their 11-day tour on Monday in Prince Edward Island, Canada, the fifth day of the tour, where William, who is a military helicopter pilot, will be doing a flying demonstration in which he makes an emergency landing on Dalvay Lake.

While touring Quebec City Sunday, Prince William, 29, spoke to Canadians in their native tongue -- French -- and even apologized for his accent.

It's their first overseas trip as a married couple and everywhere they go, the prince and his bride have been greeted by fanfare.

But while more than 1,000 fans gathered to watch their tour of the city, the couple encountered about 200 protesters. French-speaking separatists have sprung up throughout the tour, but have caused little disruption.

ABC News contributor and Sun editor, Duncan Larcombe, says that while British royals often encounter protesters when they come to this part of Canada but, nonetheless, William and Kate have viewed this trip as a success.

"There have been some demonstrations, some protests, but nothing too serious," Lacrombe said.

Adele Rescheduling Tour, Says She's 'Bored Stiff' at Home

ROBYN BECK/AFP/Getty Images(LONDON) -- Adele says she's recovering from the laryngitis that forced her to scrap her North America tour not long ago, and is in the process of rescheduling the appearances that she missed.

"It was a devastating decision to make, but I really had no choice," she wrote on her official blog. "I had to give my voice two weeks' rest or risk permanent damage."

She also denies reports that she's been ordered not to sing or talk for a month, and says it's not true that she's been taking singing lessons.

"I will do everything I can to make sure nothing like this happens again!" she says.

As Adele rests at home in London, she says she's "bored stiff," and is spending her time "watching box sets, and sorting things into neat piles."  She's also cooking, becoming "obsessed" with with 30 Rock and Beyonce's I am Sasha Fierce tour DVD, and "uploading over 1000 CDs" to her iTunes.

She adds, "I can't wait to be able to sing again."
