Sinead O’Connor Tried to Commit Suicide

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic(LONDON) -- Something’s wrong with Sinead O’Connor. She tried to commit suicide twice within the last week.

“I took an overdose,” the 45-year-old singer told The Sun newspaper, not explaining what exactly she overdosed on.

While in Los Angeles last Thursday, O'Connor took an overdose.  Then earlier this week, after receiving treatment for a broken ankle in Ireland, she attempted suicide again, The Sun reports.

O’Connor posted a series of desperate tweets Wednesday, asking her followers to help her find “a psychiatrist who can help me today.”  ”i desperately need to get back on meds today,” she wrote. “am in serious danger.”

Fans came to her rescue. She thanked them hours after posting her original messages, got in touch with a psychiatrist and got medication.

“I just had to make a cry for help,” she told The Sun. "God obviously wants me around -- though I can’t think why.”

The mother of four got married for a fourth time last month, split from her new husband after 16 days, then got back together with him last week. In 2007, O’Connor revealed on Oprah that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2003 and had attempted suicide in 1999.

Alec Baldwin Back on Twitter

Art Streiber/NBC(LOS ANGELES) -- After a one month hiatus, Alec Baldwin has returned to Twitter.

The 30 Rock actor stopped using his account on Dec. 6 after he repeatedly tweeted about his removal from an American Airlines flight for using his cellphone prior to takeoff.

On Saturday, Baldwin reactivated his account and posted three words: "Back on Twitter."  He then wrote, "Happy New Year."

The actor also said he was on vacation with his girlfriend, Hilaria Thomas.

Baldwin claimed on Twitter last month that an American Airlines flight attendant "reamed" him out for playing the game Words with Friends on his phone.  American Airlines later said that he was booted from the plane for rude behavior.

Chris Brown and Rihanna Send Out Love to One Another on Twitter?

Jacopo Raule/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Did Rihanna and Chris Brown communicate with one another via Twitter on Thursday? It's purely speculation, but they both tweeted very similar messages within a span of a few minutes.

At one point on Thursday, Chris tweeted to no one in particular, "Love U more than u know!" Rihanna then published a tweet that read, "I'll always love u #1LOVE." Only she knows for sure if that tweet was meant for Chris.

Rihanna took some heat from fans back in May when she started following Chris on Twitter despite the fact that he once assaulted her.

Jon Bon Jovi Victim of Online Death Hoax

Paul Zimmerman/WireImage(ASBURY PARK, N.J.) -- Is Jon Bon Jovi “Dead or Alive?”

That was the big question being asked Monday afternoon as an ugly online rumor spread quickly that the Sayerville, N.J.-born singer had died in Asbury Park.

First of all, fans can rest assured he is very much alive.

The whole mess started when the website dailynewbloginternational first “reported” that Bon Jovi had died from cardiac arrest, and word soon spread that the singer was found unconscious in a room at the Empress Hotel in Asbury Park, according to E!

The false report also stated that hundreds of reporters had gathered at the hospital awaiting word on his condition. The bogus report concluded that Bon Jovi was later pronounced dead at Jersey Shore Medical Center. The bad information was then re-tweeted Monday evening.

However, Jon Bon Jovi wants all of his fans to know he’s still “Livin’ on a Prayer.” In fact, he posted a photo on his Facebook site of himself in front of a Christmas tree holding a sign that reads, “Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey, December 19, 2011, 6:00.”

In addition, his spokesperson, Sunshine Sachs, said the rumor was completely false.

Bon Jovi's self-named band will headline the Bamboozle festival when it returns to Asbury Park in May.

Kim Jong Il’s Death Sparks ‘Team America’ Tweets

SAEED KHAN/AFP/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- The death of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il sparked a widespread reaction from Twitter users, many of whom were familiar with the despot from the 2004 cartoon parody movie Team America: World Police, by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the makers of South Park.

The term “Team America” shot to the top of the Twitter trends list, joining the terms “North Korea” and “Kim Jong Il” as news of Kim’s death spread Monday. The movie depicts Kim as a terrorist with an Asian Elmer Fudd accent who lures world leaders to a peace conference while simultaneously planning attacks in their home countries with weapons of mass destruction.

The American “World Police” are tasked with stopping the dictator and saving the world.

Kim, a noted film enthusiast, never commented publicly on the film, but did ask the Czech Republic to ban the movie.

Demi Moore Not Changing Twitter Handle, Yet

Theo Wargo/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Demi Moore may not want to be married to Ashton Kutcher anymore, but she’s not about to change her Twitter handle, @mrskutcher.

“[C]hanging my twitter name isn’t a top priority right now,” Moore tweeted. “sorry it bothers so many of u. should I not tweet until I do?does it really matter?” Given that she’s got more than 4.3 million followers and counting, probably not.

Moore, 49, announced her divorce from Kutcher, 33, in November, citing “certain values and vows” that led her to end her six-year marriage amid reports of his infidelity.

Charlie Sheen Tweets Phone Number to Bieber

ABC/RICHARD CARTWRIGHT(LOS ANGELES) -- Apparently, like disgraced former Democrat Congressman Anthony Weiner, Charlie Sheen needs to brush up on his Twitter skills.

Like the politician, Sheen accidentally tweeted public something meant to be sent in a private message. But in Sheen's case, he was reaching out to Justin Bieber. Unlike Weiner, the tweet Sheen sent last week wasn't a picture of himself in boxer briefs, but something sensitive nonetheless: his cellphone number.

The New York Post reports Sheen sent the following post to Bieber: "310-954-7277 Call me bro. C."

The problem? Sheen's five-million other followers also saw the message.

According to the paper, Sheen -- who was dining in Las Vegas at the time -- was almost immediately deluged with calls and nearly 1,800 text messages.

Sheen reportedly realized his mistake, and even took some of the calls, jokingly answering with, "Ray's Pizza!" and "Winning," before the "phone ... completely melted down," according to a source.

Needless to say, the number is now disconnected.

Demi, Ashton Break Twitter Silence to Give Thanks

Stephen Lovekin/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- It seems fitting that Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, the former Mr. and Mrs. of Twitter, would break their social media silence through tweets.

Once Twitter fanatics, the couple had gone relatively quiet on the social media website since Moore announced she was filing for divorce from Kutcher on Nov. 17.

But the actress used Thanksgiving Day to make a Twitter comeback, tweeting, “Why do we have only 1 day for giving thanks? Is that why so many people feel unappreciated? Make this 1 of 365 days of Thanksgiving!”

Not one to be upstaged on Twitter, even by his ex-wife, Kutcher posted his own Thanksgiving Day message shortly after she did, tweeting, “I’m thankful for family, friends, you, & time to reach my potential. What are you thankful for? #thanksgiving.”

Before yesterday, Kutcher’s last tweet and first public words about his split with Moore was on Nov. 17, which he posted moments after the divorce was announced: ““I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK”

So far Moore has maintained her twitter handle, “MrsKutcher,” which has accrued over 4 million followers. Sometimes Twitter will allow users to change their handles without losing their followers, but for now, “@DemiMoore” remains unclaimed.

Speculation about Kutcher’s alleged affairs with other women chased the couple for months prior to Moore’s  divorce announcement. Following 22-year-old Sara Leal’s claim that she and the “Two and a Half Men” star slept together in September, Moore and Kutcher were seen earlier this month attending multiple Kabbalah sessions, seemingly trying to mend their marriage.

Moore, 49, and Kutcher, 33, have been married since 2005. She was previously married to Bruce Willis for 13 years.
