(LAS VEGAS) -- This is shaping up to be a banner year for Neil Diamond.
In March, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and this weekend, he'll be honored at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. Diamond will receive the 2011 Billboard Icon Award, which is given to "an enduring legend in music" for his or her "cultural impact" and "extraordinary talent."
Diamond will be present to accept his honor and will also perform on the show, which airs this Sunday, live on ABC.
Other acts on the bill at the Billboard Music Awards, either as performers or as presenters, include OneRepublic, Matthew Morrison, Justin Bieber, Cee Lo Green, Lady Antebellum, and The Black Eyed Peas.
