(LONDON) -- James Bond is certainly fond of women, and current 007 star Daniel Craig demonstrates that in a new video to mark Tuesday’s 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day. In the video, Craig stares straight ahead and expressionless in a suit as Judi Dench, the actress who has portrayed 007’s boss, “M,” for over 10 years, narrates a rundown of statistics to illustrate the injustices faced by women.
Halfway through the video, "M" asks 007, “For someone with a fondness for women, I wonder if you’ve ever considered what it means to be one?” Craig then walks out of the camera frame and returns dressed in drag, complete with earrings, women’s shoes, makeup, a blond wig and a dress. The actor removes the wig as the litany of statistics continues.
The video was commissioned by Equals, a coalition of British organizations that work to promote International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on March 8.
