Jessica Simpson Teams with Jennifer Hudson in New Weight Watchers Ad

Youtube(NEW YORK) -- Jessica Simpson’s latest Weight Watchers commercial teams her up with another famous singer who shed a miraculous amount of pounds on the program: Jennifer Hudson.

Simpson and Hudson tout the benefits of Weight Watchers in the latest “Expect Amazing” ad, posted on YouTube Wednesday and debuting on TV Thursday. “I naturally became a healthier me,” says Hudson, who went from a size 16 to a size 6 in 2010, when she was Weight Watchers’ celebrity spokesperson. Simpson, who took on that role in May and lost more than 50 pounds, says, “I amazed myself.”

With another baby on the way, Simpson is no longer following the Weight Watchers program. On Christmas Day, the singer-turned-fashion designer revealed that she’s expecting her second child. She’s since showed off her burgeoning baby bump on Twitter.

Jessica Simpson Confirms Another Baby’s on the Way

Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for Jessica Simpson Collection(NEW YORK) -- It’s official: Jessica Simpson has another baby on the way.

Today, the 32-year-old pop star tweeted a photo of daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson sitting in front of a sand-drawn sign saying, “Big Sis.” It’s pretty much in line with the way Simpson announced her first pregnancy, dressing up as a mummy on Halloween 2011 and tweeting, “!!!ANNOUNCEMENT!!!”

Rumors that Simpson was pregnant with a second child sparked in November. She’s remained mum about that while touting her increasingly slim figure as the spokesperson for Weight Watchers, a gig she scored after giving birth to Maxwell in May and admitting that she weighed 170 pounds at the height of her pregnancy.

Simpson’s latest Weight Watchers commercial debuted on TV today. ”I didn’t need to be perfect to get here, to lose over 50 pounds on Weight Watchers,” Simpson says in the ad, clad in cowboy boots and driving a pickup truck. “I love food, I love life, and I had no idea I could be so in control and so free at the same time.”

It remains to be seen if Simpson will continue as Weight Watchers’ spokesperson with another baby on the way. A rep for the weight loss program didn’t immediately respond to ABCNews.com’s request for comment.

Weight Watchers Mad at Pregnant Jessica Simpson?

Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for Jessica Simpson Collection(LOS ANGELES) -- Jessica Simpson's rumored pregnancy isn't going over well at Weight Watchers headquarters, according to Us Weekly.

The magazine claims executives with the diet company are upset that Simpson is pregnant so soon after giving birth in early May to her daughter, Maxwell.  Simpson lost weight following her first pregnancy through a deal with Weight Watchers.

The magazine's source says, "She was already on thin ice with them since she didn't lose enough for the first ad, when they had to shoot from the waist up."

According to the magazine, Weight Watchers might scrap an upcoming ad campaign featuring Simpson -- in which she boasts of how she dropped 70 pounds -- because, a source says, "No one wants to hear about a pregnant woman dieting."

Simpson's deal with Weight Watchers is reportedly worth $4 million.

Jennifer Hudson’s Advice to Weight Watchers Successor Jessica Simpson

ABC/Donna Svennevik(NEW YORK) -- Jennifer Hudson’s got some advice for her Weight Watchers successor, Jessica Simpson.

“Try not to snack with the baby,” she told ABC News Tuesday night at the New York launch of her QVC clothing line. Hudson became the diet company’s spokesperson after giving birth to her son David in 2009.

Hudson slimmed down from a size 16 to a size 6 in 2010 and continues to stick to the Weight Watchers diet.

“My baby likes making cakes,” she said, “and when you’re making a cake you always lick the stuff off your fingers. Those things, we don’t realize what we’re taking in.”

“It helps if you write it down,” Hudson advised. “Write down what you’re eating, you’ll be far more aware. And be active with the baby. Be active with them and you’ll stay in shape. There’s no workout like running around after a 2-year-old.”

Simpson signed on to be the company’s new spokesperson in May after giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson.

“I think she will do awesome,” Hudson said. “She’s a pro. She knows what she’s doing, for sure.”

Hudson’s svelte figure inspired her to start a clothing line that enhances a woman’s curves while making her feel “comfortable and cute,” she said. Her collection of form-fitting dresses, blousy tops and maxi skirts debuts on QVC in September.

“It’s a whole new world for me, although I’ve always had a love for fashion,” she said. “It’s a tough industry.”

Hudson, who shot to fame after her stunning turn on American Idol season four, plans to return to the studio this fall. She wants to “take a lot of time” with her third studio recording and focus on songwriting, but there’s one cover that might also make an appearance on the album.

“I was actually just listening to this song called ‘Let Him Fly’ by the Dixie Chicks,” she said. “That, I really want to cover.”

Jessica Simpson New Weight Watchers' Spokeswoman

People(LOS ANGELES) -- It’s official: Jessica Simpson will be the new spokeswoman for Weight Watchers.

The singer made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday: “So excited to be a part of the @WeightWatchers family!”

The new mother is adding to her coffers with a reported $4 million deal from Weight Watchers to lose the baby weight.

Weight Watchers said in a statement, “We’re thrilled that Jessica Simpson has chosen to join Weight Watchers to adopt a healthier lifestyle and inspire others to do the same.”

Simpson just released her first photographs with daughter Maxwell Drew in the latest issue of People magazine.

She told the magazine that giving birth to her first child May 1 has changed her life forever.

“When I look at her my heart melts,” Simpson, the pop star-turned-fashion designer, said in an interview appearing in the June issue of People magazine. “I didn’t realize how much love I could have.”

Maxwell, known as “Max” or “Maxi,” arrived two weeks early, by C-section. She weighed 9 pounds, 13 ounces.

“As one of the nurses exclaimed when Max was born, ‘She’s a chunk,’” People magazine’s Suzanne Zuckerman told Good Morning America.  “But she is a beautiful baby."

“There was a wonderful family bond that was instantaneous,” Zuckerman said.  “As Max was being born, Eric was holding both Jessica’s hand and the baby’s hand so there was that sort of continuous bond from the moment she arrived.”

Maxwell has Simpson up every few hours for feedings and diaper changes, even though her father, former NFL player Eric Johnson, is a very hands-on dad.

“He has found his calling,” Simpson said of her fiancé. “Maxwell’s definitely going to be a daddy’s girl.”

Maxwell “is my career at the moment. I know I was always meant to be a mom …,” Simpson, 31, told People.

“She says that she’s never before kept to such a schedule in her life,” Zuckerman said.  “What’s also remarkable is this confidence that’s just bubbling over with Jessica.  When it comes to being a mom, she fully admits she’s doing a fantastic job.”

During the revealing interview, Simpson, who was criticized for gaining too much weight during her pregnancy, also discussed her plans for losing weight.

“Jessica actually planned to work with Weight Watchers even before she knew she was expecting but she is committing to that program as soon as its healthy for her to do so,” People’s Zuckerman told GMA.

“It would be nice to feel comfortable in a bikini, but that’s not my goal,” Simpson says in People. “I just want to fit into jeans.”

She said she’s putting off exercising until she fully recovers from the surgery, but laughingly admitted she had broken one rule. “I think I have the sexiest man in the world. So that’s the rule I break.”

She also acknowledged that she’s eager to get back to her pre-baby weight.

“After you have your baby, it’s like, ‘Oh my God, what happened to my body?’  This is not me,’” she said.

The singer has big plans for her wedding to Johnson, and says she wants to feel “really great in a wedding dress.”

Simpson will launch a new maternity clothing line that will be the 24th line in the Jessica Simpson Collection. The singer is well on her way to earning $1 billion by year’s end just from her fashion empire alone.

“She’d love to have more kids although she very openly says she wants to devote her full time and attention to Max right now, so no immediate plans,” Zuckerman said.
