Selena Gomez Talks Hospitalization, Bieber & Britney

ABC/Donna Svennevik(NEW YORK) -- Selena Gomez graced the stage of ABC's Good Morning America, as part of the show's Summer Concert Series on Friday, in her first major national TV appearance since she was hospitalized last week.

Selena told GMA's Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos that she was "much better" following the hospitalization, explaining that she was "low on iron," "dehydrated" and "exhausted."

Asked about the negative reaction she’s received from Justin Bieber fans, furious that the two are dating, Gomez told Roberts, "I can't shut out all of it, I'm human, so I read it, I know what's being said, obviously, but I have better things in my life and I do try to ignore it. And I have incredible supporters."

As for whether or not she and Bieber will ever record together, she said, "I'm not sure...if it happens, it happens."

Gomez also spoke about her love of Britney Spears, and how happy she is to have recorded a song co-written by Britney on her upcoming album When the Sun Goes Down, which comes out June 28.  Gomez confirmed that during her tour this summer, she'll be performing a Britney tribute. "I mean, even if you're a guy you know Britney songs!  I mean, it's Britney!  So I'm excited," she added.

When the Sun Goes Down is the third album from Gomez and her band The Scene, and said, "It's fun to kind of see how different each record has gone. And I'm getting it's really fun to kind of display that in my music, and...kind of experience what I'm going through in my life through my music."
