Report: Woman Throws White Powder at Kim Kardashian During Event

Don Arnold/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Kim Kardashian had an unpleasant experience while promoting her new fragrance Thursday night.

TMZ.com reports a woman tossed white powder at Kardashian while the reality TV star walked the red carpet at a West Hollywood event for the fragrance line, True Reflection.

The powder covered Kardashian's hair and back, but fortunately for her, the substance was nothing more than cooking flour.  The unidentified woman was detained by police.

Following the incident at the London Hotel, Kardashian went to a private room where she removed her jacket and brushed out the powder that got into her hair.´╗┐

Police Investigating Threatening Letter Sent to Craig Ferguson

ROBYN BECK/AFP/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Los Angeles police are investigating a threatening letter sent to CBS late-night host Craig Ferguson's studio.

According to E! News, two people at the CBS complex in L.A. where Ferguson's Late Late Show is taped were briefly quarantined Tuesday afternoon after they were exposed to what turned out to be a harmless powder inside the envelope.

Police believe the letter, which included threats against Ferguson, may have been sent from Europe.  Ferguson, who's Scottish by birth but a naturalized American citizen, recently taped episodes of his show in Paris.

Ferguson tweeted Tuesday, "Ack! Someone mailed my show white powder & claimed it was anthrax. I'm not a big fan of that sort of thing."

A death threat against Ferguson's fellow CBS late-night host David Letterman, whose production company produces Ferguson's show, was recently posted on a jihadist website.

'Dancing' Scare: Bristol Palin Targeted by Threatening Letter?

Photo Courtesy - ABC/ADAM LARKEY(LOS ANGELES) -- The FBI is investigating the source of a threatening letter containing white powder that arrived Friday night at the Dancing With the Stars production office.

The scare forced the evacuation of the Los Angeles studio used to shoot the ABC television show.

"Measures were taken to secure the area and ensure the safety of personnel,” ABC spokesperson Amy Astley said in a statement. “Ultimately we were advised by the LAFD that the substance was determined to be talcum powder."

TMZ.com reports the letter targeted contestant Bristol Palin, the oldest daughter of former Republican vice-presidential candidate and Alaska governor Sarah Palin. The FBI would not confirm the recipient to ABC News.

It's the latest turn in a controversial week for the show. On Tuesday, Bristol Palin survived a shocking elimination night, advancing to the finals over singer Brandy who earned perfect scores. Outraged viewers flooded ABC with complaints. One man was arrested for shooting his television, disgusted that Palin made it through.
