(CHICAGO) -- The last time Paul McCartney performed at a baseball stadium in Chicago was back in 1965, when The Beatles played Comiskey Park. But now there's talk that he may return to Chicago this summer to rock Wrigley Field.
A source tells The Chicago Sun Times that the Cubs are trying to do a deal for McCartney to play at the famous stadium on July 31 and Aug. 1, when the team is out of town. So far, nothing is definite -- McCartney's only announced U.S. date so far is June 10 in Las Vegas. He's currently performing in South America.
If McCartney does play Wrigley Field, he'll be the latest in a long line of big names who've taken the stage, from The Police, Elton John, Billy Joel and Jimmy Buffett, to country stars Rascal Flatts and The Dave Matthews Band.
The last time McCartney played in Chicago was 2005.
