"The Fault in Our Stars," "Edge of Tomorrow Open Friday;" "Chef" Expands

Fox(NEW YORK) -- Here's a look at the new movies opening nationwide Friday:

The Fault in Our Stars -- In the big-screen adaptation of John Green's best-selling novel, Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort play two teens who meet and fall in love at a cancer support group. Laura Dern and Nat Wolff also star. Rated PG-13.

Edge of Tomorrow -- Tom Cruise is a soldier who combats an alien invasion alongside a special forces warrior, played by Emily Blunt -- as he relives the same day over and over. Bill Paxton also stars in the film, which is screening in 3D and IMAX 3D. Rated PG-13.

And expanding to wide release:

Chef -- Jon Favreau stars as a chef who quits his job at a Los Angeles restaurant and ends up in Miami, where he launches a food truck with his friend and his ex-wife. Favreau directed the comedy, which also features Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo, Dustin Hoffman, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Bobby Cannavale and Oliver Platt. Rated R.
