'The King's Speech,' 'The Fighter' Among Top Winners at SAG Awards

Photo Courtesy - The Weinstein Company(LOS ANGELES) -- The King's Speech ruled the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The film won two awards, including the top prize, outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture.  Colin Firth received an outstanding male actor award for his performance in the film, which has quickly made a strong case to win the best picture Oscar.

Black Swan actress Natalie Portman and The Fighter co-stars Christian Bale and Melissa Leo were also honored.

On the TV side, ABC's Modern Family and HBO's Boardwalk Empire won the awards for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy and drama, respectively.  To her surprise, 89-year-old Betty White was recognized as the top female actor in a comedy series for Hot in Cleveland.

Boardwalk Empire's Steve Buscemi, 30 Rock's Alec Baldwin, The Good Wife's Julianna Margulies, You Don't Know Jack's Al Pacino and Temple Grandin's Claire Danes were also winners in the TV acting categories.
