The Oscars Announce 2014, 2015 Telecast Dates

ROBYN BECK/AFP/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC have announced the dates for the next two Oscar telecasts.

The 86th annual Academy Awards will air Sunday, March 2, 2014, and the 87th annual awards show will air on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015.

Both ceremonies will be held at The Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, Calif., and will be broadcast live on ABC.

The 2013 Oscars, which Seth MacFarlane hosted, averaged 40.4 million viewers, according to ABC.  The network says the Feb. 24 broadcast aired in 225 countries, and was the most-watched entertainment telecast in the past three years.
