(LOS ANGELES) -- Fans of The Price Is Right will be happy to hear the long-running game show taped a special episode on Wednesday in which contestants played only Plinko.
Executive producer Mike Richards tells Buzzfeed.com, “When we realized it was the 30th anniversary of Plinko, we wanted to do something special, and [host] Drew [Carey] and I have always wanted to do an all-Plinko show. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to keep trotting it out.”
To get the studio audience even more lathered up, they were kept unaware that it was an all-Plinko episode.
The game involves the sliding of Plinko “chips” down a peg board into slots that range from $10,000 in value to $0. Contestants can earn up to five "chips" by guessing the actual retail price of various products.
The all-Plinko episode of The Price Is Right will air on Friday, Sept. 27.
