Tom Cruise's "Oblivion" Opens Friday

ABC/Randy Holme(NEW YORK) -- Tom Cruise's latest film, the sci-fi thriller Oblivion, opens nationwide Friday.

Set in a futuristic Earth devastated by a war with aliens, Oblivion stars Cruise as Jack Harper, a drone repairman.  His world is turned upside down when he discovers a woman in a downed spacecraft.  It all leads to Harper needing to save mankind.

Olga Kurylenko, Morgan Freeman, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Melissa Leo also star in Oblivion, the only movie debuting in wide release.  It is rated PG-13.  [Click here to read a review]
