Tom Hanks, Jerry Seinfeld Among Nominees for Webby Awards

JOHANNES EISELE/AFP/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Tom Hanks, Jerry Seinfeld and Girls creator/star Lena Dunham are three of the celebrities who earned nominations Tuesday for the 17th Annual Webby Awards, honoring excellence on the Internet.

Hanks received a nod for his Yahoo! series, Electric City.  Seinfeld is nominated for his own online series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

Dunham is a contender for her pro-President Obama Internet video released during his 2012 campaign, "First Time."

Other celebs up for awards include Charlize Theron and Jennifer Hudson.

Voting is open at through April 25.  The Webby Awards will be broadcast online on May 22.
