Top Artists Featured on 'Songs for Japan' Benefit Album

Legacy Records(NEW YORK) -- If you haven't yet donated money to disaster relief in Japan, here's the perfect opportunity.

A benefit album titled Songs for Japan is now available on iTunes.  The collection is quite a bargain -- you get a whopping 38 tracks from top names like Michael Buble, Sting, Josh Groban, John Mayer, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna and Katy Perry, all for just $9.99.  The catch is that you have to buy the entire album -- you cannot break it up into individual tracks.

Proceeds will go to the Japanese Red Cross to benefit disaster relief efforts in Japan in the wake of the recent earthquake and tsunami.  All the artists, record labels, publishers and even iTunes itself have waived their royalties to raise the maximum amount of money.

Most of the songs on the collection are hits that have been been previously released, but there are a few album tracks, too.  In addition, the Lady Gaga track "Born This Way" is reportedly an exclusive remix.
