Compassionate Eye Foundation/Rob Daly/OJO Images Ltd/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- With the Emmy Awards now complete, viewers can turn their full attention to the new TV season, which begins in earnest on Monday night.

The major broadcast networks –- aside from Fox, which opened its season a week early -- will premiere most of their 2013-2014 lineups during the next several days.

Here’s a preview of the new programming you’ll find on CBS, ABC and NBC on Monday night. All times Eastern:

CBS

  • How I Met Your Mother, 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. -- The ninth and final season begins with back-to-back episodes, set during the wedding weekend of Cobie Smulders’ Robin and Neil Patrick Harris’ Barney. Cristin Milioti, whose umbrella-toting character was revealed as Ted’s future wife in last season’s finale, joins the cast.
  • 2 Broke Girls, 9 p.m. -- In the third-season premiere, Kat Dennings’ Max and Beth Behrs’ Caroline find success with their cupcake walk-up window business following a “shocking incident involving a rock star."
  • Mom, 9:30 p.m. -- The latest comedy from Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory creator Chuck Lorre features Anna Faris as a newly-sober single mother who has a dysfunctional relationship with her own mom, played by Allison Janney.
  •  Hostages, 10 p.m. -- The new drama stars Toni Collette as a surgeon whose family is taken hostage by a rogue FBI agent. The agent instructs her to assassinate the president when she operates on him. Dylan McDermott also stars.

ABC

  • Castle, 10 p.m. -- Former House actress Lisa Edelstein makes the first of three appearances as a federal investigator who impacts Stana Katic’s Beckett, as the show launches its sixth season. We’re also awaiting word on whether Beckett will accept a proposal from Nathan Fillion's Castle. Castle follows Dancing with the Stars, which will announce the first elimination of its new season.

NBC

  • The Voice, 8 p.m. -- The singing competition welcomes back coaches Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green, who were on hiatus during the spring season.
  • The Blacklist, 10 p.m. -- In the new drama, James Spader is a fugitive who turns himself in and agrees to help the FBI, but only if the organization lets him work with a new female profiler.
