(NEW YORK) -- Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe Giudice, are now facing the grim reality that the Real Housewives of New Jersey will be cancelled. Now that the couple is facing tax fraud charges, Bravo must make a decision on the fate of the show.
Insiders tell the New York Daily News the show has become more trouble for the network than it’s worth.
"Nobody wants to see their talent in this kind of a situation," an insider says.
Teresa in recent months reportedly had been pitching Bravo executives on her own spinoff show, but an insider reveals, "They are not interested. Bravo only spins off happy situations -- marriages, baby news. Not prison."
Bravo tells ABC News Radio "no comment" on the New York Daily News report.
Meanwhile, an insider tells In Touch Weekly that despite facing prison time, Teresa has no plans to stop filming Real Housewives. It's likely too soon for the network to make any decisions about season six since Bravo is still in the middle of airing season five.
The show source says that Teresa intends to appear on the season-five reunion episode in September.
"She would never miss it," the insider notes.
