Movie Based on Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' in the Works

Photo Courtesy - Epic/1982 MJJ Productions Inc.(LOS ANGELES) -- In the past, there have been several movies based on albums, but now word comes that there's a film in the works based on a single song: Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

Deadline.com reports that Kenny Ortega, who was behind the documentary This Is It, is attached to direct, and Jeremy Garelick, who wrote The Hangover, is on board to pen the screenplay.  The plot is a secret, but is said to involve the song's "folklore."

Since "Thriller" already inspired a 14-minute music video, it's probably not much of a stretch to imagine it as a film.

Weezer Covers Toni Braxton's 'Unbreak My Heart'

Photo Courtesy - Epitaph(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) -- Weezer's forthcoming album, Death to False Metal, features songs that were recorded for their earlier albums but never made the final cut.  One of those tracks is a cover of Toni Braxton's smash R&B hit, "Unbreak My Heart," which is currently available for download at the band's website.

Frontman Rivers Cuomo told AmericanSongwriter.com that the cover, which was recorded back in 2005 for their album Make Believe, "was actually [producer] Rick Rubin's suggestion."  He admitted that he and Rubin both loved the song and that "we both thought it would be great for Weezer, and for my voice, and it’d be great to do like a rock version of it with more of an alternative aesthetic."

Death to False Metal will be in stores on Nov. 2 along with a re-issued version of Pinkerton.  Weezer's upcoming Memories tour kicks off on Nov. 26 in Los Angeles.

Charlie Sheen Hospitalized: 'Highly Intoxicated' in 'Trashed' Hotel Suite

Photo Courtesy - Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Charlie Sheen was hospitalized Tuesday after police were called to his suite at New York City's Plaza Hotel, where they said they found him naked and the room trashed.

Sheen was found in the suite after hotel security called 911 at 2:07 a.m. He was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital for treatment for alcohol abuse and psychological evaluation.

Police sources told ABC News affiliate WABC that Sheen appeared to be highly intoxicated and unable to communicate in a rational manner. He was believed to have been drinking since 8 p.m.

The room -- including tables, chairs and a chandelier -- was in disarray. When police arrived, Sheen was in a rage, saying someone had stolen his wallet.

Despite what police have said, a representative for Sheen denied the actor was hospitalized because he was drunk.

"What we are able to determine is that Charlie had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital." Sheen's publicist said in statement to ABCNews.com. The publicist later announced that Sheen has left the hospital and was headed back to Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

Sheen, the star of CBS' Two and a Half Men, has had a heap of problems of late.

In August, Sheen pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault in a domestic abuse case involving his wife, Brooke Mueller, in exchange for the withdrawal of two other charges, including a felony. Sheen had been charged with second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief after allegedly brandishing a knife at Mueller on Dec. 25, 2009.

In July, Sheen entered a rehab facility -- for the third time in his career -- "as a preventative measure," according to his rep.
