Mariah Carey's 'Oh Santa!' Powers to Number One

Photo Courtesy - Island/Def Jam Records(NEW YORK) -- Mariah Carey just got an early Christmas present -- her new holiday single "Oh Santa!" has just jumped to number one on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart after just two weeks.

According to Billboard, the single's journey to number one on that chart is the fastest since they started tracking things electronically back in 1993.  Even Carey's classic "All I Want for Christmas Is You" never hit number one on that chart -- the highest it ever got was number six.

"Oh Santa!" is now Carey's first number one on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart in 14 years.  The last time she was at the top was back in 1996 with "One Sweet Day."

Hollywood Publicist's Murder a Mystery Again

Photo Courtesy - Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- After doing interviews and ballistics tests, Beverly Hills investigators now say that Harold Martin Smith, who took his own life, probably has no connection to the November murder of Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen.

It was a tip called into the TV show America's Most Wanted that alerted police that Harold Smith was bragging that he killed Ronni Chasen. When approached by the police for questioning in the lobby of a hotel last week, Smith shot himself.

The Hollywood Reporter says investigators are now reviewing surveillance camera video that shows the moment Chasen crashed her Mercedes. Investigators are also reviewing video of a black Lincoln Town Car that drove by Chasen's car minutes after her crash and chose not to stop.

With Smith no longer a "person of interest," investigators are searching for other potential suspects.

Chasen was shot several times in the chest before crashing her car into a light pole.
