Rapper T.I. Sentenced to 11 Months in Jail

Photo Courtesy - Getty Images(ATLANTA) -- Grammy-winning rapper T.I. was sentenced to 11 months in prison on Friday for violating the terms of his probation. The 30–year-old hip-hop star was arrested in September on suspicion of possession of the drug Ecstasy.

T.I., whose real name is Calvin Harris, sought leniency in the case as prosecutors pushed for a two-year sentence, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Harris faced a potential 30 years in prison for federal gun charges in 2007 when he was arrested following the Black Entertainment Television awards. He paid a $100,000 fine and was sentenced to one year in prison after completing 1000 hours of community service while under house arrest.

On September 1, Harris was stopped for a traffic violation in Los Angeles by police, who discovered drugs in his car. After his arrest Harris tested positive for opiates. He acknowledged on Friday that this was a violation of the terms of his probation.

Several character witnesses appeared in court this week on behalf of Harris, including a university professor who used his music to relate life lessons to her students, a member of Harris' Narcotics Anonymous group, and an Atlanta police officer, James Polite, who explained how Harris recently persuaded an Atlanta man not to commit suicide.

Once Harris is released from prison, he will still be on probation and face three more years if he is found in violation of the terms of his release.

O'Reilly, Behar Fuel 'View' Feud

Photo Courtesy - ABC(NEW YORK) -- Bill O'Reilly's feud with The View didn't end after Thursday's broadcast.

On his prime time Fox News show, O'Reilly stuck to the declaration he made on the ABC daytime talk show Thursday, that "Muslims killed us on 9/11" -- a statement that prompted Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar to walk off The View's set.

"How did we get here?" he started.  "Were we attacked by Japanese extremists?  How did we get to this point?  Now the poll I cited was taken by CNN in August.  About 70 percent of Americans, as I said, agree with me on the ground zero mosque issue -- it's inappropriate."

"No one I know, no one, wants to insult Muslims," O'Reilly continued.  "But almost everybody I know is tired of the political correctness surrounding the 9/11 attack.  The truth is that if moderate Muslims all over the world would stand with America against radical Islam, the terrorists couldn't exist.  But obviously, that is not happening.  I am not in the business of sugar-coating harsh realities."

Meanwhile, Behar reasserted that O'Reilly was out of line on Thursday night's edition of The Joy Behar Show, which airs on the Headline News Network.

"I was really angry.  I thought O'Reilly was saying ... something I construe as hate speech, frankly," she said.  "It upsets me, as you can see.  To say Muslims killed us on 9/11, is like ... you could say that about any group, to lump an entire group like that."

Lady Gaga Buys Her Early Music Back from Auction House

Photo Courtesy - Streamline Records(NEW YORK) -- Fans who were hoping to get their hands on early recordings Lady Gaga made when she was still known as Stefani Germanotta are out of luck.  The auction house Gotta Have It! was selling the recordings online as part of a "Rock & Roll Pop Culture" event that was to have ended Friday, but on Thursday, it was announced that Gaga's management had bought the items for an undisclosed amount of money.  The items were subsequently removed from the auction's website.

In a press release, the man who was selling the recordings, Gaga's former manager, Bob Leone, was described as being "very happy to be an instrumental part in bringing the music created by Stefani Germanotta back to its rightful owner."

The recordings included a never-released 2002 original demo, a CD from 2005 called Stefani Germanotta Band, Words, a 2006 CD called Stefani Red and Blue, and a DVD of a 2006 performance at the "On Stage Italian Artists" showcase.

Courteney Cox Reportedly Dating Co-Star

Photo Courtesy - Larry Busacca/Getty Images for InStyle(LOS ANGELES) -- Did another man come between Courteney Cox and David Arquette?  The 46-year-old actress is in love with her Cougar Town co-star, Brian Van Holt, a source tells RadarOnline.com.

The insider says, "She is smitten and in love with this man, almost besotted...he seems to be providing something that David didn't during the marriage.  They've been secretly dating for some time and now the split with David is official, time will tell if the relationship may well get even more serious."

The insider added, "Courteney doesn't believe she was cheating on David because they had been leading separate lives for some time."  Arquette declared earlier this week that Van Holt and Cox had an "emotional affair."

Cox and Arquette announced earlier this week they were separating after 11 years of marriage.  Arquette then revealed on Howard Stern's radio show that he and Cox hadn't had sex in four months and that he slept with another woman after they separated.

Justin Bieber Raps; Will Virtually Host MTV EMAs

Photo Courtesy - Island Def Jam Music Group(NEW YORK) -- Justin Bieber sings, dances and writes books, and now he's showing off a previously unheralded talent: rapping.  Bieber posted a video on Twitter that features him busting out a freestyle rap that he calls "Speaking in Tongues," because he's rapping over a song called "Speaking in Tungs" by Cam'ron and Vado.  A note posted under the video states that Bieber's "alter ego rap name" is Shawty Mane.

In his rap, he mentions his hairstyle several times and also gives a shout-out to Lady Gaga.  At the end, he stops rapping and says in his speaking voice, "I'm Justin Bieber. You guys might know me as the guy who sings 'Baby.' I'm a pop singer.  I'm white.  But I just wanted to do this to prove that I got skills on the rap game."

In other news, it's been announced that Bieber will be the "online host" for the MTV European Music Awards, which are taking place Nov. 7 in Madrid, Spain.  Since he's the online host, Bieber won't actually have to go to Madrid.  Instead, he'll be tweeting and interacting live with fans at MTVEMA.com.

In a statement, Bieber said, "I'm so excited to have all my fans come and watch the show with me online. It'll be like one giant, global viewing party at my house!"

The show will be streaming live at MTVEMA.com and on Facebook starting at 9 p.m. Central European Time.  The stream won't work for U.K. residents, though.

Vince Vaughn Speaks About Controversy Over Movie Trailer

Photo Courtesy - Universal Pictures(NEW YORK) -- Vince Vaughn is the latest celebrity to take a stand against bullying, though it comes just a week after a theatrical trailer for his new film received criticism for containing what many people deemed to be an insensitive remark regarding homosexuality.

The original trailer for The Dilemma was pulled from theaters after CNN anchor Anderson Cooper and the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation complained about a scene in which Vaughn's character tells a group of people, "Ladies and gentleman, electric cars are gay."

In a statement released to Deadline.com, Vaughn said, "Let me add my voice of support to the people outraged by the bullying and persecution of people for their differences, whatever those differences may be.  Comedy and joking about our differences breaks tension and brings us together.  Drawing dividing lines over what we can and cannot joke about does exactly that; it divides us.  Most importantly, where does it stop?"

The Dilemma, directed by Ron Howard, focuses on a man who finds out his best friend's wife is having an affair.

Publicist Denies Reports That Michael Douglas Is Dying

Photo Courtesy - Evan Agostini/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Michael Douglas is not at death's door.  Some tabloids have reported the actor, who just completed treatment for advanced throat cancer, is preparing for the worst, including a Star cover story featuring the ailing Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps star with the headline, "Saying Goodbye."

Not true, says Allen Burry, Douglas' friend and longtime publicist.  He tells People magazine, "Michael is totally focused on his recovery...It's been very difficult, [but Douglas' doctors] are very pleased with how he responded to treatment.  They think he's doing really well.  He's doing as well as can be expected."

Burry also laughed off Star's claim that the actor has made changes to his estate.  "Michael hasn't changed his will recently, and he isn't contemplating changing it," he said.

Swift is now the artist with the most top-10 single debuts in the history of the Billboard Hot 100.  She's had a total of six, breaking the old record of five set by Mariah Carey.

Swift's first top-10 single debut was "Change," back in the summer of 2008.
