Michigan NFL Player Gives Back to Community

(SAGINAW, Mich.) -- The former Saginaw High School football star is helping athletes from his hometown, reports ABC affiliate WJRT-TV.

Pittsburgh Steeler linebacker, LaMarr Woodley, is donating over $60,000 to the Saginaw Public Schools athletic department.

The school district initially had serious budget problems and was going to charge all student athletes to pay $75 to participate, but the donation will keep playing sports free.

The donation will additionally help pay for transportation and some equipment.
