Calif. Company Recalls Year's Worth of Processed Meat

iStock/Thinkstock(PETALUMA, Calif.) -- A California company is recalling a year's worth of processed meat that's shipped to distribution centers and retail stores in California, Florida, Illinois and Texas.

The USDA has declared meat processed by Rancho Feeding Corporation between Jan. 1, 2013 and Jan. 7, 2014 unfit for human consumption.

According to ABC's Alex Stone, the Petaluma, Calif. based company reportedly processed diseased animals without a full federal inspection.

The recall is for 8.7 million pounds of beef products including carcasses, oxtail, liver, cheeks, tripe, and tongue.
