(SEATTLE) -- New York City is a pedestrian-friendly city. Indeed, the Big Apple is the United States' most walkable city, according to a new list released by Walk Score. The Seattle-based organization ranked cities based on factors such as population density and neighborhoods' proximity to amenities such as public transit and restaurants.
New York City finished slightly ahead of San Francisco, which ranked first in Walk Score's previous list, released in 2008.

2. San Francisco
7. Washington, D.C.
