Organization Raises Funds for Tenn. Bat Cave
(CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.) -- The Nature Conservancy in Tennessee is raising money to build a cave to save local bats, The Tennessean reports.
Although they are currently $75,000 short on funding, they have already started to build a cave, according to Cory Holliday, Cave and Karst Program director.
The artificial bat cave is being built 150 feet away from the Bellamy Cave that holds deadly fungus that has been killing bats, who catch White Nose Syndrome from the fungus.
