Snyder Receives Mixed Reviews on Year in Office

(LANSING, Mich.) -- Gov. Rick Snyder received mixed reviews on his job performance, according to a new poll.

A Detroit Free Press/WXYZ poll revealed that 46 percent of respondents had a favorable opinion of Snyder during his first year in office. 40 percent did not. Snyder also received a 54 percent negative rating on his job performance.

When evaluating Snyder's administration, 44 percent of respondents said his policies have not made a difference in making Michigan a better place to live.

When asked whether they would support or oppose an increase in state taxes, 58 percent of respondents opposed an increase and 36 percent supported it.
