Man Arrested in Shooting Near School

(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) -- Police arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with a shooting at the Arkansas School for the Deaf and Blind over the weekend.

Officials say Barry Campbell was arrested minutes after a shooting near football fields at the school where children were playing. The fields were rented for the children, who are not students at the school, to play football. Police say Campbell shot Robert Redmon, 35, in an altercation that stemmed from a person being asked to park away from the fields. Redmon was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Details on the incident still remain unclear.

Campbell is charged with first degree battery and one felony count of criminal mischief.
