Ethics Commission: State Police Captain Broke the Law with Gift Tix

(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) -- The state Ethics Commission has determined that State Police Captain Jeffery Lance King broke the law when he accepted gifts from the University of Arkansas football program, ABC affiliate KATV-TV reports.

State cops are prohibited from accepting gifts valued over $100 that are intended as rewards for doing a good job. King filed the complaint against himself and admitted to accepting at least 16 tickets to various football games, valued at at least $840. Capt. King provided security for former Razorback football coach Bobby Petrino.

The commission is issuing a Public Letter of Caution as punishment.
