Homeless Man Succumbs to Injuries Sustained in July Beating

(LITTLE ROCK) -- A homeless man who had been hospitalized since being injured in a beating in July, has died.

Donald Ray Jenkins, 51, died on Wednesday after being taken off of life support. He was found beaten and injured on Brown Street on July 30.

Thomas Daniel Trosper, 43, has since been arrested in connection with the beating and was initially charged with first-degree battery. Trosper's charge has been upgraded to murder.
