Less than 9 Percent of Arkansas Under Exceptional Drought 

(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) -- A weekly report released by the U.S. Drought Monitor shows that less than 9 percent of Arkansas is under exceptional drought.

Counties in the northwest and north-central parts of Arkansas are under the worst category of drought, although the report showed improvement across the state.

About 91 percent of the state remains in at least a moderate drought.
