Report: Planes Collide, One Dead
(GREENE COUNTY, Ark.) -- One person is dead after two planes collided and landed in a rice field in northeast Arkansas, according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
The pilot of one of the planes was killed in the crash, which occurred in Fontaine, according to Greene County coroner Dick Pace. A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the planes collided around 11:35 a.m on Wednesday.
Chief Curtis Davenport of the Greene County Rescue Squad said he believes there was one person in each aircraft, according to the report.
