Suspect Held in Stabbing Death in NLR

(NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) -- Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in North Little Rock on Monday evening.

According to police, the stabbing was reported around 6:15 p.m. on the 1100 block of H Street. Authorities responded to the scene, where Sidney Rufus, 23, was found suffering from stab wounds. Rufus was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

Police have arrested 19-year-old Devante Cooney in connection with the crime. He is charged with first-degree murder.
